Director of Marketing – Growing Manufacturing Company (Western Chicago Suburbs)

We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and hands‑on Director of Marketing to lead all marketing initiatives for a growing, privately held mid‑size manufacturer. This role owns brand direction, digital presence, product storytelling, and market visibility across domestic and international channels. What You’ll Lead

  • Marketing Strategy & Brand Development — Build and execute the annual marketing plan, elevate brand identity, and ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.
  • Product & Influencer Marketing — Develop influencer partnerships, product advocacy programs, and content that expands reach and strengthens credibility.
  • Trade Shows & Events — Oversee all U.S. and international trade shows, including booth design, messaging, logistics, and on‑site execution.
  • Creative & Content Development — Direct creation of catalogs, sales collateral, POP materials, planograms, packaging, and product graphics.
  • Digital Marketing — Manage the company website, social media strategy, digital campaigns, and product‑focused storytelling.
  • Training & Education — Produce training tools, classes, and video content for reps, distributors, and customers.
  • Sales Enablement — Support the sales team with collateral, customer‑specific materials, and competitive insights.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with supply chain, product development, and graphics teams to ensure smooth launches and packaging accuracy.
  • Co‑op & Media Management — Oversee marketing co‑op funds and coordinate press releases, product announcements, and media placements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of relevant marketing experience (manufacturing or B2B a plus)
  • Strong creative and visual communication skills
  • Experience managing digital channels, campaigns, and content
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to execution in a fast‑paced environment
  • Vendor Management skills ad ability to work with multiple external vendors, agencies,
  • Writing and copy-editing skills, along with content creation including the ability to write press releases, product copy, flyer copy and packaging copy to effectively address the specific target audience, whether it's a distributor or an end user.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross‑team collaboration skills
  • Sales experience is a plus
