Public Relations Account Coordinator

The Account Coordinator (AC) will work directly with Account Executives as part of a team and will be responsible for performing a number of high-level duties and assisting with multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations or a related field, plus relevant internship experience. The candidate should be highly self-motivated, organized, and professional, with superior writing skills and the ability to manage their workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have strong familiarity with various media outlets.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Managing daily media tracking, clipping, and compiling press reports
• Assisting in client service, research, media relations, and strategy development to deliver integrated communications campaigns
• Developing and maintaining media contact databases
• Writing press kit documents, media alerts, pitch letters, bios, and other materials
• Coordinating and attending photoshoots, television shoots, interviews, and other on-site events
• Monitoring trends and researching articles and suitable story opportunities/angles for clients
• Pitching local media to secure coverage on behalf of clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• Internship experience in public relations or a related field
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Strong familiarity with various media outlets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
