Position Summary Our Rescue is seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee our digital presence and drive engagement across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong understanding of social media trends, content strategy, and audience engagement.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Manage content planning, creation, and scheduling across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
- Collaborate with ecommerce, volunteer and international teams on the planning, creation, and scheduling of content across secondary brand accounts
- Craft compelling copy and multimedia content aligned with the brand’s voice and marketing objectives.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Develop and manage the strategies and output for executive social media, collaborating with company leaders
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster meaningful online community interactions.
- Encourage and communicate with donor-facing internal teams to improve social selling performance
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, design, advancement and PR, to align messaging and campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging technologies to keep strategies innovative.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand, agency, or organization.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics, content marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with graphic design or video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with corporate social accounts, or at a non-profit
- Knowledge of influencer marketing and content marketing best practices.
