We’re entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a Managing Director to serve as a senior partner to our CEO—owning the day-to-day performance and growth of the business while enabling the CEO to focus on closing marquee talent and brand partnerships. We operate on a hybrid schedule: Mondays and Fridays remote. In-office Tuesday through Thursday with additional half-day offs Fridays throughout the year.
This role may be based in Austin, Texas, or New York City depending on candidate's residency. Regular travel between offices and to key industry events, client meetings, and talent engagements will be required.
About the Role
The VP of Talent Strategy reports to and partners closely with the CEO & Founder to maximize the growth, positioning, and long-term value of Ponte Firm’s talent roster while strengthening the firm’s brand presence in the market. This role blends talent strategy, business development, and corporate marketing leadership, helping creators grow their platforms and revenue while also elevating Ponte Firm’s visibility across brands, media, and the broader influencer ecosystem. The VP of Talent Strategy will work cross-functionally with the revenue team and leadership to drive talent growth, new talent acquisition, and brand positioning for the firm.
What You’ll Do
Talent Strategy & Growth
• Lead strategic planning with talent to define positioning, audience growth, brand alignment, and long-term revenue opportunities
• Conduct regular talent performance reviews and annual growth planning with creators
• Identify content, platform, and brand partnership opportunities to expand talent reach and earnings
• Partner with talent managers to develop strategic deal opportunities and career growth plans for creators
• Provide ongoing guidance to talent around brand building, content strategy, and monetization opportunities
Business Development
• Support enterprise partnership opportunities by identifying strong creator-brand alignment across the talent roster
• Participate in key brand pitches where strategic creator positioning is required
• Identify emerging brand categories and partnership opportunities aligned with creator audiences
Talent Acquisition
• Lead talent sourcing and recruitment to grow Ponte Firm’s roster with high-potential creators
• Evaluate potential talent through a strategic lens including audience, growth trajectory, cultural relevance, and monetization potential
• Build relationships with emerging creators, agents, managers, and industry networks to expand the firm’s pipeline
Corporate Marketing & Brand Leadership
• Oversee Ponte Firm’s corporate marketing strategy across social media, email marketing, PR, and brand storytelling
• Oversee all brand creative and brand standards across the firm, including the use of Ponte Firm’s brand, logo, visual identity, and overall creative direction
• Ensure consistent brand positioning across marketing materials, client presentations, partnerships, and public-facing communications
• Manage relationships with PR partners, media outlets, and industry publications
• Lead strategy for speaking engagements, thought leadership, and executive visibility opportunities
• Oversee planning and execution of Ponte Firm’s annual summit, conference, and key industry events
Creator Monetization & Business Strategy
• Identify and develop new monetization opportunities for talent, including product lines, brand collaborations, licensing opportunities, media projects, and long-term brand partnerships
• Help creators develop long-term brand positioning and business strategies beyond individual brand deals
• Partner with the revenue team to identify scalable partnership models across the talent roster
• Evaluate emerging revenue channels across social platforms, commerce, and media opportunities
Platform & Industry Insights
• Track emerging trends across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and new creator-led media channels, translating them into strategic opportunities for creators and the firm
• Identify shifts in audience behavior, platform algorithms, and monetization opportunities to inform talent growth strategies
• Provide strategic guidance to creators and internal teams on evolving creator economy trends and best practices
Organizational Leadership
• Partner closely with the CEO & Founder to align talent strategy with the firm’s growth priorities
• Collaborate with revenue and leadership teams to ensure talent strategy supports overall business growth
• Provide leadership and guidance to talent managers across the firm
• Establish frameworks and best practices for talent development, performance evaluation, and growth planning
Must-Have Experience
• 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, talent management, creator partnerships, or digital media
• Deep understanding of the creator economy and social media ecosystem
• Proven track record working directly with creators or influencers
• Strong network within influencer marketing, media, and brand partnerships
• Experience leading talent strategy, creator development, or influencer marketing programs
• Strong strategic and creative instincts around content, brand positioning, and audience growth
Salary Range: $100-200K
