Overview of the Role
Our enterprise telecommunications client is seeking a Senior Paid Social Media Manager to join their team! The Senior Social Media Manager leads social-first creative and paid social strategy across platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, and emerging channels. This role blends creative development with performance-driven optimization, shaping storytelling that drives engagement, retention, and conversion. Partnering with creative, production, influencer, brand, and media teams, this leader oversees concepting, briefs, testing roadmaps, content development, and insights to ensure paid social contributes directly to broader marketing and business goals.
This team sits on the creative strategy side of the organization, partnering deeply with analysts, creative teams, and external agencies to develop social-first concepts, oversee the production of high-performing assets, and drive full-funnel programs. This role requires a self-starter who can own programs end-to-end, balance strategy with hands-on execution, and collaborate across multiple cross-functional partners.
In close partnership with creative, production, influencer, media, analytics, and external vendors, this position ensures all content is culturally relevant, platform-native, and built to perform. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with deep paid social expertise, fluency in social media best practices , and a passion for testing, insights, and continuous improvement.
The Basics
- Duration: 12 months
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: Stamford, CT - 4x onsite per week (one flexible remote day)
- Note: Remote flexibility is possible, but preference is for candidates within the Stamford CT metro area.
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- 3-6+ years of paid social experience managing creative strategies and campaign execution across major platforms.
- Strong creative sensibility with the ability to concept, brief, and optimize platform-native content that drives measurable performance.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using UTMs, pixels, tracking, and reporting tools to translate insights into actionable creative strategies.
Other Qualifications
- Experience managing both always-on and tentpole paid social campaigns.
- Ability to collaborate with creative, production, influencer, and cross-functional marketing teams.
- Familiarity with AI-optimized content (AIO/SEO) and influencer paid strategies, including whitelisting/dark ads.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management capabilities.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Background in telecom, tech, mobile, ecommerce, or subscription industries is a plus.
- Experience evaluating agencies, vendors, tools, and platform opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of paid social content strategies aligned with brand, business, and channel objectives.
- Oversee campaign planning, creative briefing, content production, asset delivery, and optimization across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, and emerging platforms.
- Partner with creative, production, and influencer teams to develop social-first assets including UGC, short-form video, static creative, and carousels.
- Manage ongoing testing frameworks, monitor performance, and translate insights into creative recommendations and long-term content roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Influencer, Organic Social, CRM, Product, and Media teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaign execution.
- Maintain relationships with creative agencies and platform partners, evaluating new opportunities, tools, and technologies.
- Build scalable processes for content production, balancing speed, quality, and experimentation.
- Guide junior team members and support their professional development.
- Track platform updates, consumer behavior shifts, and competitive trends to inform strategy and identify new creative opportunities.
