About the Role:

The A List is seeking a dynamic and culturally connected Director to lead Brand Partnerships, Special Projects, and Events. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing global agency at the forefront of influencer marketing, celebrity partnerships, and experiential storytelling for leading fashion and lifestyle brands. The Director will play a key role in shaping and executing high-impact projects that connect brands with influential voices across entertainment, fashion, sports, and the arts.

This role will oversee the development and execution of celebrity/influencer partnerships, experiential activations, and other special projects, while cultivating meaningful relationships with talent, agents, managers, publicist and industry leaders.. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong cultural instincts and a deep understanding of the evolving entertainment and social media landscape. They will bring a passion for building creative partnerships and delivering innovative projects that best meet our clients goals.

Roles + Responsibilities:

* Ideal candidate to have a preexisting publicist, agent, manager, celebrity and digital influencer contacts

Strategy, Leadership & Client Management:

  • Lead and manage integrated campaigns that combine talent partnerships, influencer marketing, and experiential activations (such as events, special seedings, influencer trips etc) for The A List clients
  • Work closely with The A List’s Founder, Managing Partner and Managing Directors to help shape long-term strategic goals and priorities for The A List;
  • Oversee day-to-day client relationships, project execution, and campaign strategy across multiple accounts;
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on social media trends, cultural moments, and influencer marketing opportunities ;
  • Lead internal teams supporting campaigns and provide mentorship and professional development to junior staff;
  • Serve as a cross-functional partner across the agency, supporting talent outreach, digital initiatives, and business development efforts;
  • Support new business opportunities by participating in client calls, developing proposals, and creating pitch materials.
  • Develop case studies and campaign materials for prospective clients.
  • Maintain and expand The A List’s industry network and talent database .
  • Stay informed on pop culture, entertainment, social media trends, and emerging creators to drive client strategy and agency growth.

Talent, Influencer & Brand Partnerships:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with celebrities, influencers, agents, managers, and publicists across film, television, music, sports, art, and digital creator communities;
  • Identify and secure celebrity and influencer partnerships and/or event appearances for paid and organic campaigns across multiple industries including fashion, beauty, tech, and wellness;
  • Identify emerging talent and cultural trends to inform campaign strategy and client opportunities;
  • Lead talent casting and partnership strategy for campaigns, events, and brand initiatives;
  • Negotiate and manage talent agreements, contracts, and partnership deliverables , including deal terms and redlining agreements;
  • Broker multi-platform partnerships, sponsorships and long-term brand collaborations on behalf of clients;
  • Monitor campaign performance and oversee weekly, monthly, and campaign wrap reporting ;
  • Analyze metrics such as impressions, engagement, and audience reach to provide strategic insights and recommendations ;
  • Identify digital trends and emerging platforms to enhance campaign performance and creative direction;

Events, Activations & Special Projects:

  • Lead the ideation, planning, and execution of experiential activations, brand events, and special projects ;
  • Develop event concepts including venue selection, talent participation, guest list strategy, and experiential integrations aligned with brand objectives;
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of events and activations from concept and planning through on-site execution ;
  • Create run-of-show documents, staff assignments, and manage event logistics to ensure seamless execution;
  • Support brand launches and cultural moments through high-impact experiential campaigns and influencer activations .

Project, Budget & Financial Management:

  • Manage multiple campaigns and special projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and deliverables are met;
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, scopes of work, and financial tracking ;
  • Manage vendor negotiations, agency fee estimates, and partnership agreements.
  • Oversee billing, invoicing, and expense tracking in collaboration with the accounting team;
  • Monitor project financials, team hours, and resource allocation across campaigns.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 7-8 years relevant job experience in Event Management, Guestlisting, Digital Marketing and Celebrity Partnerships
  • Ideal candidate to have preexisting relationships of agent, publicist, manager, and talent contacts
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a quick, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Must possess superior understanding of existing social media landscape including new and innovative tools, platforms, vendors, and technologies
  • Self-starter approach toward work with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience with Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Must be LA based.
