Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: As part of the Electro Creative Workshop which is Clorox’s internal agency, the Owned Digital Experience Manager will play a critical role in advancing our digital marketing strategies to support Business Unit (BU) objectives.
This role will lead the strategic vision and execution for 1-2 brands across owned media channels, including brand websites and CRM programs. Responsibilities include owning and modernizing our brand websites to meet consumer needs and accomplish business goals, integrating developing CRM communications and strategies that grow loyalty and brand annuity and thoughtfully building our Known Consumer Database (KCD) to drive superior consumer experiences.
This role partners closely with the Owned Digital Practice Lead and the CRM Practice Lead. Practice Leads drive future-looking capability building and provide coaching and guidance to Owned Digital Experience Managers; and Owned Digital Experience Manager’s help implement new capabilities pushed from practice leads as they align with BU priorities.
The Owned Digital Experience Manager will partner with cross-functional teams on initiatives to enhance brand reach and engagement, while actively exploring new technologies and trends in digital marketing to drive BU growth and deliver measurable outcomes.
The role can be located in our Oakland, CA or Durham, NC office, with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week. In this role, you will:* Drive growth through marketing innovation and operational effectiveness in owned channels. Use your deep understanding of the brand’s and company’s enterprise business strategies and goals, inclusive of growth strategies. and retailer priorities, and integrate into owned sites, CRM, KCD (known consumer data) strategy, and other communication channels can help accomplish business goals.
- Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including paid, retail, and shopper media leads, Spark, CXT, Electro Creative, BX and Brand to deliver always-on strategies and plans, including strategic priorities, maximizing engagement, advancing personalization, and measuring success.
- Be the strategic leader responsible for advancing owned digital platforms and strategies to support BU goals, deliver superior consumer experiences. This requires you to stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously innovate and trial new digital marketing efforts. Lead end-to-end strategic communications across the digital ecosystem.
- Understand and embrace curiosity on your KCD audience for your assigned brands, and find new ways to engage consumers, drive relevance with them, and build database health using engagement and personalization strategies, always in service of business outcomes.
- Set the guidance on goals and metrics for Insights, Analytics and Data Science, representing the BU’s goals and ambitions in order to gain insights to further the BU’s growth objectives and personalization frameworks. Leverage those results and determine next steps for optimizing towards our goals.
- Lead on-site and off-site acquisition including partnering with Acquisition Project Manager and KCD Analytics to identify KCD value opportunities, engagement rates, and demonstrate the business value for acquisition.
- Execute with excellence across all Brand Engagement tactics in support of the most critical innovations for your BUs.
What we look for:* Digital agency experience or expertise within an in-house digital team is essential. Knowledge of integrated marketing is a must while experience with consumer-packaged goods is a plus.
- Excellent track record in digital/interactive marketing performance with demonstrated upward growth.
- Requires experience in strategic marketing roles with direct experience managing website content and CRM/loyalty programs. Other content experience including social, influencer, and media a plus.
- Requires strong organizational and influential communication skills.
- Requires creative gut and ability to deliver effective creative feedback to inform content development and the vision to effectively repurpose existing assets to deliver appropriate and relevant content efficiently.
- Requires analytical mindset to assess performance.

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. –Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200 –Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200 –Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200 All ranges are subject to change in the future.
