The Role:
The Community Relations Manager will grow Milk Makeup’s online and offline community, driving engagement, loyalty, and earned media value. This role blends strategy and execution – developing creative community programs while managing influencer relationships, product seeding, events, and engagement initiatives. Through 360 cross-functional collaboration with PR, marketing, creative, and operations teams, the Community Relations Manager will ensure a cohesive brand experience and optimize strategies based on campaign performance to drive conversion and ROI.
What YOU’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with the Director of PR & Community Engagement to develop and execute best-in-class community engagement strategies and initiatives, including events, paid influencer programs, product seeding, and creator partnerships.
- Manage end-to-end strategic partnerships with key creators to support product launches and business objectives, including product shipments, contract negotiations, briefing, content approvals, and payment processing.
- Proactively identify, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with creators, makeup artists, VIPs, and other key members of the Milk Makeup community.
- Plan and execute impactful creator events and experiences, managing guest lists, pre-event logistics, and on-the-ground execution.
- Develop and manage the cultural calendar and influencer engagement programming to ensure ongoing, meaningful interactions with the community that drive EMV and brand loyalty.
- Continuously source emerging creators and culturally relevant voices aligned with the brand.
- Work with cross-functional partners to ensure events and experiences deliver strong brand storytelling and meaningful creator engagement.
- Organize and maintain internal campaign tracking documents, influencer media kits, media briefs, talent rosters, and rate sheets.
- Support the communication and rollout of global community engagement initiatives, partnering closely with global agencies and local market teams to ensure consistent and impactful execution across markets.
- Drive 360 cross-functional collaboration with teams including Social, PR, Ecommerce, Growth, International, Retail, Operations, and Creative to align on community and creator campaigns and ensure integrated brand storytelling.
- Address community feedback and resolve issues quickly to maintain a positive, engaged brand community.
- Support operational processes including CreatorIQ management, maintaining the marketing calendar, managing creator product orders and restocks, and coordinating inbound community inquiries.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for PR and community engagement campaigns, including EMV, engagement, reach, and creator performance, using insights to inform future strategy.
- Manage and mentor one intern, ensuring clear task delegation, feedback, and developmental support.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms, and cultural moments relevant to our target audience.
We'd Like YOU to Have:
- 4-6 years of experience in influencer marketing, preferably in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods
- Proven success developing and executing creative strategies that drive measurable results across paid and organic channels
- Deep understanding of influencer marketing trends, content creation, and community-building tactics
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and events simultaneously
- Advanced knowledge of CreatorIQ, EMV, and influencer performance metrics
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, engage, and maintain positive relationships with influencers, creators, and key community members
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to optimize campaigns and measure ROI
- Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, product, and marketing teams to execute successful campaigns and events.
- A highly organized, self-motivated, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment
