HybridWhat you will do

The Director of Social Commerce will lead the strategy, execution, and scaling of social‑first commerce initiatives, with a primary focus on TikTok Shop and Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) growth. This role owns the end‑to‑end social commerce ecosystem – spanning content, creators, media, storefront operations, merchandising, and performance optimization – to drive incremental revenue, customer acquisition, and brand relevance.

This leader will operate at the intersection of digital commerce, brand storytelling, paid media, and digital commerce operations, translating cultural moments into measurable commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Commerce Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and own the social commerce strategy across TikTok Shop and DTC, aligned to overall digital commerce and brand objectives.
  • Define the role of social commerce within the broader omnichannel ecosystem, ensuring incremental growth and margin discipline.
  • Identify emerging platforms, formats, and monetization opportunities to future‑proof the social commerce roadmap.

TikTok Shop & Platform Operations

  • Own TikTok Shop performance end‑to‑end, including assortment strategy, pricing, promotions, inventory coordination, and storefront optimization.
  • Partner with platform teams and internal stakeholders to unlock beta opportunities, feature adoption, and accelerated growth.
  • Establish best practices for live shopping, affiliate programs, and in‑app conversion optimization.

Content, Creator & Affiliate Commerce

  • Lead creator‑led commerce strategy, including affiliate recruitment, performance management, and content frameworks.
  • Collaborate with brand, creative, and influencer teams to ensure content is optimized for both engagement and conversion.
  • Scale always‑on creator and affiliate programs while maintaining brand integrity and compliance.

Media, Measurement & Optimization

  • Partner with paid media teams to align TikTok media investment with commerce outcomes (ROAS, CAC, LTV).
  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and test‑and‑learn frameworks specific to social commerce performance.
  • Use data and insights to continuously optimize content, creators, offers, and funnel performance.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the connective link between marketing, eCommerce, operations, supply chain, legal, and finance to achieve Social Commerce KPIs.
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing social commerce team and external partner ecosystem.

What we're looking for:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 8 years of experience in digital commerce, social commerce, eCommerce, or performance marketing.
  • Direct experience managing TikTok Shop, influencer/creator networks, and/or social‑native DTC commerce.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through content‑ and creator‑led commerce models.
  • Strong understanding of paid social, attribution, conversion funnels, and performance analytics.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced, test‑and‑learn environments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and analytical acumen
  • Deep understanding of creator economy and social platform dynamics
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and rapid change
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Builder mindset with the ability to scale programs from zero to one—and beyond

  • TikTok Shop and social DTC revenue growth
  • ROAS, CAC, and contribution margin improvement
  • Creator and affiliate program scale and efficiency
  • Conversion rate and customer acquisition growth
  • Speed of testing, learning, and scaling new commerce initiatives

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$190,825.00 - $269,400.00 This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
