As the Analyst Relations Manager, you will play a key role in executing and advancing Illumio’s analyst relations strategy. You will manage analyst engagement workstreams, support major evaluations (Waves, MarketScapes, etc.) and help shape the narratives that influence market perception.
You will operate as a senior individual contributor — owning execution, driving program rigor and serving as a trusted partner to Product, Product Marketing, Communications, Competitive Intelligence and executive stakeholders.
This is a senior individual contributor role that requires strong judgment, attention to detail, proactive ownership, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear analyst-facing narratives. Success in this role may lead to expanded ownership of firm relationships, leading major evaluation cycles, or role progression over time.
Your Impact:

- Track analyst feedback and recommendations; synthesize insights and drive internal follow-up.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with targeted analysts across firms such as IDC, Forrester and Omdia.
- Support and co-lead preparation for major evaluations (Waves, MQs, MarketScapes, Market Guides).
- Monitor analyst research related to microsegmentation, Zero Trust, cloud security, and adjacent categories.
- Distill complex research into actionable insights for Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams.
- Support competitive intelligence efforts by identifying analyst positioning trends and perception shifts.
- Maintain AR KPIs, dashboards, engagement trackers, and executive reporting.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual AR planning cycles.
- Draft and refine analyst-facing narratives, product update summaries, positioning briefs, and evaluation submissions.
- Support executive readiness for high-stakes analyst interactions.
- Partner with Product Marketing to ensure consistent and differentiated category messaging.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Competitive Intelligence, Sales, Customer Advocacy, and Communications teams.
- Coordinate customer references and supporting materials for analyst validation.
Your Toolkit:
- 4-6 years of experience in Analyst Relations, Product Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related technology marketing discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or contributing to analyst evaluations (Waves, MQs, MarketScapes, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with high attention to detail.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced B2B technology environment.
- Professional maturity and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise networking.
- Direct exposure to analyst firms such as Gartner, Forrester, or IDC.
- Familiarity with AR platforms and tracking tools (e.g., ARchitect).
- Experience preparing executives for analyst engagements.
- Familiarity with Influencer Relations strategies and tactics.
