Overview: This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in NYC. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Foot Locker is hiring a Brand Energy, Senior Marketing Manager to join our team! This role is a key leader within the Marketing organization responsible for driving Foot Locker’s most culturally resonant brand moments. This role brings strategic direction, creative leadership, and operational rigor to Brand Energy programs that elevate the brand within sneaker culture. As a senior member of the Marketing team, this leader owns cross-functional alignment, program strategy, and performance, while developing talent and guiding the execution of large-scale, high-visibility initiatives. (The internal title for this role is Senior Manager, Heat & Energy.) Foot Locker Corporate Office - NY 1 Penn Plaza, Suite 3200 New York, NY 10119 Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Executional Excellence* Partner with the Director of Heat & Energy to define and drive the strategic roadmap for Heat & Energy initiatives across the Marketing organization.

  • Lead end-to-end cross-functional alignment with merchandising, brand creative, social, digital, retail, and integrated marketing teams to ensure cohesive, high-impact execution.
  • Establish clear operational workflows, set program milestones, and manage cross-functional accountability to ensure flawless delivery of initiatives.
  • Identify risks, anticipate needs, and proactively remove barriers to keep programs on track and to quality standards.

Program Strategy, Ideation & Performance* Apply deep understanding of sneaker culture, product relevance, consumer insights, and marketplace trends to develop strong, strategic briefs.

  • Shape storytelling frameworks that uphold and elevate the Foot Locker brand voice across all campaign and program touchpoints.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs tied to engagement, reach, cultural resonance, and commercial impact; convert learnings into clear insights and future recommendations.
  • Ensure Heat & Energy programs ladder up to broader Marketing and brand objectives, reinforcing long-term brand heat and community connection.

Leadership, Talent Development & External Partnership Management* Lead, coach, and develop a line manager responsible for program execution, fostering skill growth, accountability, and a culture of creativity.

  • Build strong internal relationships across Marketing and key partners to ensure alignment, communication, and shared vision.
  • Manage creators, influencers, agency partners, and external collaborators to increase creative capacity and scale production across Energy moments.
  • Champion cross-functional partnership and serve as a senior point of contact for Energy-related initiatives within the Marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, cultural marketing, lifestyle marketing, or integrated marketing roles, preferably within footwear, streetwear, sports, or youth culture industries.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing culturally resonant, earned‑media‑worthy programs within a brand or agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of sneaker culture, creators, influencers, and community trends, with the ability to translate insights into actionable program strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across merchandising, creative, digital, and retail partners.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of managing complex, multi‑workstream programs from ideation through execution.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports, with a leadership style that balances coaching, accountability, and empowerment.
  • Ability to interpret and leverage KPIs, analytics, and cultural insights to inform decision‑making and optimize program performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Presentation and presentation software experience (e.g. PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work some nights and weekends for work events required based on business needs.

Preferred* Experience working in a fast‑paced retail, lifestyle, or consumer brand environment.

  • Background managing creators, influencers, or cultural partners at scale.
  • Familiarity with retail marketing, store activation, and multichannel storytelling.
  • Agency management experience, including creative, production, and influencer partners.

The annual base salary range is $95000 - $115000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
