The Client
Harmonic is partnered with a fast-growing, technology-driven eCommerce platform that has emerged as one of the scaled winners from the brand aggregation era. The business operates a portfolio of highly profitable consumer brands, supported by an AI- and data-first operating model designed to efficiently drive traffic, optimize marketing spend, and scale brands with discipline.
The platform acquires brands and scales them through strong operations, influencer and affiliate marketing, and cross-brand synergies. Currently at $100m in revenue with a clear path to $200m in the next 18 months.
The company is led by experienced eCommerce operators and recently added a CFO with deep experience scaling acquisition-driven platforms, signaling a continued investment in building a best-in-class finance organization.
The Role
The Head of FP&A will own the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and analytical agenda across both the platform and brand level, serving as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. This leader will play a central role in shaping growth strategy, evaluating acquisitions, and building the financial infrastructure required to scale a modern, tech-enabled eCommerce business.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role with significant exposure to senior leadership and brand operators. The position blends corporate FP&A, M&A analysis, and brand-level “mini CFO.”
Key Responsibilities
- Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning at both the corporate and brand level
- Build and maintain enterprise and brand-level financial models, including acquisition underwriting and synergy analysis
- Partner closely with the CFO on growth strategy, capital allocation, and investment decisions across the brand portfolio
- Act as a mini CFO for individual brands, supporting pricing, SKU mix, contribution margin, and profitability decisions
- Lead deep product- and SKU-level analysis across channels, seasons, and marketing strategies
- Analyze influencer, affiliate, and performance marketing investments to drive efficient revenue growth
- Deliver executive-level reporting, KPI dashboards, and insights to senior leadership and the Board
- Lead Board and lender reporting, including forecasting, variance analysis, and narrative insights
- Oversee liquidity forecasting, working capital management, and debt facilities
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, forecasting accuracy, and analytical rigor using AI- and data-driven tools
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing FP&A team
Requirements
- Experience operating in high-growth, fast-scaling environments
- Strong background in eCommerce, consumer brands, or CPG
- Proven ability to build and own complex financial models supporting growth and acquisitions
- Comfortable operating at both the strategic and hands-on analytical level
Nice to Have
- Prior experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or roll-up strategies
- Experience with influencer, affiliate, or performance marketing analytics
- Background supporting a major scale phase or liquidity event
Compensation: $200k–$225k base + bonus + RSUs
