Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Social Media is a strategic and creative member within the Brand Marketing organization, reporting to the Senior Director of Social Media and Influencer. This role develops social media campaign strategies, executes breakthrough creative, and optimizes channel performance across platforms.

Equal parts strategist, innovator, and people manager, this person knows how to translate brand priorities, cultural moments, and consumer insights into social-first storytelling that grows our community and drives business impact. The ideal candidate balances big ideas with data-driven decision making, rigorous planning, and measurable outcomes.

This role manages the social media editorial calendar, develops cross-channel campaign plans, and partners deeply with the Kendra Scott Creative team. They will also support campaign reporting, providing insights and recommendations to inform ongoing optimization and long-term strategy. This individual is comfortable operating at both a strategic and executional level – including on-set production and live event settings.

Responsibilities* Manage the social media editorial calendar and campaign planning, ensuring content ladders into seasonal priorities, product initiatives, and cultural moments.

  • Drive social-first creative ideation for campaigns, launches, and key storytelling moments, delivering concepts that are culturally relevant, platform-native, and aligned to brand strategy, and adhere to brand standards and FTC guidelines.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, eComm, and Brand teams to align on campaign timelines, content needs, and GTM plans.
  • Execute against frameworks and workflows for content planning, briefing, approvals, copywriting guidelines, and asset delivery.
  • Partner closely with the Kendra Scott in-house Creative team to brief and develop social-first campaign assets.
  • Work closely with in-house Content Creators to develop social-first video and photo content. Attend photo/video shoots to shape and capture social-first assets, ensuring content meets brand and platform expectations.
  • Guide Social Content Creators and Creative team to experiment with formats, posting cadence, creative variations, and new features to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage social reporting and insights, delivering weekly, monthly, and campaign-level analyses that connect performance to KPIs, learnings, and next steps.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to communicate priorities, share platform insights, and champion best-in-class social thinking across the organization.
  • Monitor platform and algorithm shifts, consumer behavior trends, and competitive opportunities to evolve channel strategy.
  • Partner with Influencer Lead to integrate influencer content into brand storytelling, ensuring alignment with social priorities and platform trends.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a growing social media team including Social Coordinators, Specialists, and/or Leads.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:* 7-9+ years of social media or related marketing experience, with a strong blend of strategy, creative ideation, and channel management.

  • 3+ years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to grow, coach, and empower high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience leading social media strategy for a consumer brand, ideally within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or retail.
  • A portfolio or work samples that demonstrate strong creative ideas, trend fluency, and social-first storytelling.
  • Deep expertise in TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms from trend cycles to content formats.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Dash, native platform insights), comfortable with Excel, and ability to distill complex data into compelling takeaways.
  • Experience with operating within the current social media landscape on behalf of a large brand / agency, including understanding of FTC guidelines regarding influencer partnerships and risk mitigation around social trends.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to distill complex data into crisp insights, recommendations, and presentations.
  • Highly collaborative with a strong ability to build relationships with co-workers and keep others informed
  • A proactive, collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for experimenting with new ideas, formats, and technologies.
  • Ability to travel 10–15% for brand events, photo/video shoots, or campaign production.
