Responsibilities:

The Assistant Vice President, Corporate Marketing, supports marketing initiatives and plans for WRBC and our more than 60 Operating Units.* Take an active role and lead in helping OUs in the creation of competitive advantage. This includes creating preworkshop surveys, analyzing survey results, developing customized workshop presentations, leading the workshop breakout sessions, summarizing workshop output, leading the creation and revision of competitive advantages with the OU marketing and leadership teams, preparing for agent/broker research focus groups and helping to implement and consult OUs to ensure competitive advantage is executed properly.

  • Manage competitive advantage output and execution and develop case studies to share with enterprise.
  • Conduct OU research on competition
  • Use AI to compare positioning and value propositions to understand competitors and create outputs that articulate the results such as videos and podcasts.
  • Assist corporate marketing team in all areas of building the “Berkley” umbrella brand including brand awareness benchmarking, developing online and offline brand campaigns and measurement.
  • Assist Operating Units with creating, updating, and implementing customer personas. This requires working with OU senior leadership, major stakeholders, and influencers as well as WRBD Segment EVPs.
  • Assist with onboarding and updating of Corporate and OU websites.
  • Work with external agencies to update brand and logo guidelines as needed.
  • Work with WRBC finance to update the Producer Database and generate reports as requested.
  • Manage integrated campaigns (typically for OUs) from concept, execution, and measurement:
  • Creation and delivery of the strategy grounded in audience insights and with clear, measurable objectives.
  • Development of integrated campaign framework (top, mid and bottom funnel), based on research of subject matter, market intelligence and in consultation with internal stakeholders.
  • Construction and management of integrated campaign plans with actions, timings, dependencies, and owners to ensure project tracking and team accountabilities, while demonstrating the ability to deliver with innovative ideas and superb quality.
  • Building analytics to be regularly reviewed and, when required, making campaign adjustments to maximize campaign return.
  • Keeping project stakeholders engaged and involved pre-, during and post-campaign.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans to business strategy and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Assist with RIMs, Target Markets, PLUS, CIAB and other industry events which require the creation of Agent/Broker profiles, coordination of multiple OUs and other needs. Other needs include the management of the Berkley tradeshow booth and selection of booth location.
  • Ad-hoc marketing activity as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a focus on marketing strategy, content creation and campaign management.
  • Ability to effectively manage and drive area of accountabilities, contributing to higher level agenda setting and workload prioritization.
  • Excellent execution/ organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly professional, service oriented, pro-active, and flexible attitude.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including but not limited to Google Analytics, social media management tools, and content creation software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Education Requirement* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Additional Company Details: The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role includes: Base Salary Range: $168,000 to $226,000 The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
