The Senior Account Executive plays a key role in supporting client strategy, leading day-to-day account activities, and developing compelling media opportunities that drive meaningful results. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison for assigned clients, anticipating needs, proactively identifying opportunities, and ensuring seamless communication between client and agency teams.
- Lead client communications including status calls, project updates, and strategic discussions, demonstrating confidence, strong presence, and sound judgment.
- Develop polished, client-ready written materials including press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, media lists, talking points, and reports.
- Pitch and secure coverage across traditional, digital, and broadcast media; maintain proactive outreach and consistent follow-up with editors, producers, and journalists.
- Research, identify, and cultivate new media opportunities and relationships to expand visibility for clients.
- Plan and coordinate media engagements including desk-sides, interviews, press trips, and influencer visits; attend and support as required.
- Contribute strategic thinking and creative ideas during brainstorming sessions, helping develop compelling story angles, partnerships, and promotional opportunities.
- Research and support brand partnerships, collaborations, and promotional opportunities that align with client objectives.
- Oversee reporting and measurement efforts including coverage tracking, KPI monitoring, and monthly/quarterly client reports.
- Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple accounts, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet agency standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, offering feedback on pitching, writing, and client management.
- Support agency growth by assisting with new business proposals, research, and pitch materials as needed.
Talent & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited four-year university in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- 3–4
years of public relations agency, with proven success in client management and media relations.
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage with established relationships among key editors, writers, and producers.
- Strong understanding of media relations strategy, story development, and editorial positioning.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong writing and communication abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, media, and colleagues.
- Curious, creative, and passionate communicator with a strong interest in travel, culture, and lifestyle storytelling.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a positive agency culture.
