Position Summary
The Narrative Writer brings our marketing narratives to life across channels. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, persuasion, and performance marketing. The Narrative Writer translates narrative strategy into messaging that captures attention, builds trust with parents, and drives enrollment growth. Working closely with the Director of Content Strategy, this role develops the hooks, stories, scripts, and messaging that power our campaigns.
In addition to producing high-impact marketing copy, the Narrative Writer helps shape next-generation content systems that combine human creativity with advanced tools such as AI-assisted drafting, agent workflows, and automation platforms. The ideal candidate is both a strong writer and a curious builder who is excited to experiment with new tools and workflows that make great narrative work faster and more effective.

Key Responsibilities
Narrative Execution
- Translate narrative strategy into persuasive messaging across marketing channels
- Develop campaign messaging that communicates clear value to parents and students
- Ensure consistency of narrative and tone across marketing assets
High-Performance Copy Development
- Write compelling copy for landing pages, ads, email campaigns, and social media
- Develop strong hooks and openings designed to capture attention quickly
- Write scripts for both short-form and long-form video content
Performance-Driven Messaging
- Collaborate with paid media, CRO, and social teams to refine messaging based on performance insights
- Iterate quickly on messaging based on testing results and audience feedback
- Continuously improve clarity, persuasion, and engagement across marketing copy
AI-Enabled Content Development
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, and drafting
- Elevate AI-assisted outputs into polished, high-performing copy
- Help develop and refine AI-assisted narrative workflows, including experimentation with agent-based tools and automation systems that improve the speed and scale of marketing content production
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with designers, video producers, and marketing teams to bring campaigns to life
- Support influencer and user-generated content initiatives through script and messaging development
- Work closely with the Narrative Strategist to execute campaign narratives across channels
Skills & Capabilities
- Exceptional storytelling and persuasive writing ability
- Strong instinct for developing compelling hooks, angles, and narrative structures that capture attention quickly
- Understanding of marketing psychology and audience motivations
- Experience writing across digital channels including ads, landing pages, email campaigns, and video scripts
- Comfort using AI tools as part of a modern creative workflow and curiosity about how technology can improve content development and experimentation
- Ability to iterate quickly and respond to feedback and performance data
Ideal Background
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or advertising
- Experience writing for digital marketing campaigns or performance-driven environments
- Familiarity with social media and short-form video content formats
- Experience collaborating within creative or marketing teams
- Experience in education or mission-driven organizations is a plus

The annual starting salary for this position is between $55,000 – $75,000annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
