About the job
Our retail client is looking for a Marketing Specialist who lives and breathes social media, especially Instagram and TikTok and can support core marketing needs across content, campaigns, and digital execution. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is organized, creative, and excited to help grow a brand through smart, consistent, on-trend content.
This role is hybrid with two days on-site, Tuesday + Wednesday in the Pearl District.
Responsibilities:
Social Media & Content Creation
- Manage daily posting and community engagement across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Own the U.S. social content calendar and ensure alignment with brand and marketing priorities.
- Lead TikTok growth and platform experimentation.
- Spot and act on trends in swimming, sports, and youth culture.
- Write short form, on-brand captions and copy.
- Track performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Support influencer and athlete content coordination.
Content Production Support
- Coordinate with athletes, creators, photographers, and internal teams to gather content.
- Assist with shoot planning, asset organization, and basic post-production workflows.
- Maintain consistent brand voice across all platforms.
Marketing Support
- Assist with seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, and email marketing.
- Support e-commerce merchandising, website updates, and retail marketing tasks.
- Help manage marketing calendars, timelines, and asset libraries.
- Coordinate cross-functional needs with sales, product, and global teams.
- Brief graphic needs to the design team.
- Support event marketing and swim meet activations when needed. Reporting & Insights
- Compile monthly marketing and social performance reports.
- Monitor competitors and industry trends in swim and performance sports.
- Identify growth opportunities and emerging platforms.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of marketing or social media experience (internships included).
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Experience with social media management tools.
- Basic photo/video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.).
Bonus:
- Passion for swimming, sports, or performance athletics.
- Familiarity with influencer or athlete marketing.
- Experience with consumer brands or ecommerce.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
