Role summary
Ibu Movement is hiring an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead the full marketing mix for our marketplace and mission, with a savviness in optimizing marketing budgets and a sharp focus on measurable growth in traffic, email acquisition, conversion, and revenue. This is a hands-on role in a small, passionate team where every dollar matters. This role will set the strategy, build campaigns, , and execute across paid media, email/CRM, and partnerships to drive sales for our global artisans. This role will also manage analytics and data, optimize and manage the website .and ensure that Ibu’s marketing system is designed for data cultivation and deployment to facilitate smart decisions and actionable campaigns You will partner closely with our content + social lead, who creates content and manages organic Facebook and Instagram.
Success looks like
· Effective paid acquisition and influencer/partner campaigns that meet agreed CAC goals.A clear campaign calendar with repeatable growth plays (e.g., drops, seasonal moments, and product-led storytelling) that drive sales growth.
· A simple, reliable performance dashboard that is updated daily and used by leadership to run the business (e.g. product planning, fundraising needs, etc)
· Improved on-site conversion through prioritized, practical Shopify improvements
· Higher-quality customer data and strategies to power retargeting, lookalikes, and lifecycle marketing.
· Stronger cross-channel coordination so that content, email, paid, and site merchandising work together.
Core responsibilitiesMarketing strategy + planning
· Own the annual and monthly marketing plan, budget recommendations, and campaign calendar for e-commerce + mission storytelling.
· Translate organizational goals into measurable marketing KPIs and weekly priorities; manage tradeoffs given limited time and spend.
· Provide clear briefs and direction to internal and external partners (content, design, developers, contractors, influencers).
Performance marketing + analytics (data cultivation & deployment)
· Ensure accurate tracking across Shopify, GA4, and ad platforms (pixels, events, UTMs) so results can be trusted and improved.
· Build and maintain a reporting system including a daily executive snapshot
· Run a test-learn-improve cadence: define hypotheses, set success metrics, execute experiments, and share learnings.
Paid media + acquisition
· Plan and manage compelling paid campaigns across Meta to drive sales. Add additional paid channels as appropriate.
· Develop compelling product-led creative and offers in partnership with content; ensure ads and organic product posts have an effective click-through path and well constructed landing page to drive sales.
· Monitor spend and efficiency continuously; iterate quickly to improve CAC, ROAS, and contribution margin performance.
E-commerce site optimization (Shopify) + merchandising
· Own site merchandising in partnership with leadership: hero products, collections, pricing story, and drop strategy.
· Conduct analyses of products and price point; monitor inventory readiness/availability for promotions.
· Prioritize and implement high-impact site improvements (category filters, product page storytelling, navigation, landing pages, and CRO) and identify and implement Shopify plug-ins as appropriate.
· Test options like pre-order/notify-me flows to reduce inventory risk and manage paid acquisition efficiency.
Email/CRM + lifecycle marketing
· Own email marketing strategy: list growth, segmentation, automations (welcome, browse/cart abandon, post-purchase), and regular campaigns.
· Improve email signup yield onsite and through campaigns; partner with content to keep storytelling consistent and compelling.Maintain list health, deliverability, and performance reporting
Retail + partnerships
· Support retail-facing marketing and partnerships where relevant (event marketing, co-marketing, in-store assets, wholesale support).
· Develop influencer and brand partner outreach plans; model costs and expected returns; implement campaigns.
AI-enabled marketing operations (preferred)
· Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, audience insights, campaign creative , and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
· 5-10 years of marketing experience with a strong track record in e-commerce growth, acquisition and performance marketing (fashion, consumer goods, or mission-driven brands preferred).
· Hands-on experience with Shopify, email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo or similar), and paid social (Meta Ads Manager).
· Strong analytical orientation: comfortable building dashboards, interpreting funnel metrics, and using data to make decisions.
· Experience developing and executing acquisition + lifecycle programs (including segmentation, remarketing, and automation).
· Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills; able to run multiple workstreams independently.
· Comfortable operating in a lean team where you will both lead and execute.

· Retail/wholesale marketing experience (supporting store launches, trunk shows, partnerships, or in-store conversion).
· Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve marketing performance and operational efficiency.
· Experience working with influencers/affiliates and building partner-driven acquisition.
Work arrangement
· Charleston-based is preferred to collaborate with other team members and support the Ibu showroom, events, and local partnerships; strong remote candidates will be considered.
· Occasional travel is expected
· This role will collaborate closely with Content + Social Lead (content + organic FB/IG) and may support future initiatives such as website redesign and additional marketplaces as part of growth strategy.
· Compensation range: $80,000 - $130,000
