The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for assisting our teams with community management, calendar building, in-house social media content creation, strategy, and support. The individual must be fluent in social media and be a dynamic problem-solver that works well in a fast-paced environment. This role coordinates with the Social House, Inc. strategy team, and content development teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and crafting social media content that aligns seamlessly with the overarching client strategy. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the content and strategy teams to generate ideas for content proposals, short-form videos, content edits, and other multimedia content formats.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and strategy discussions
  • Build the client content proposals by entering specific content pillars, marketing and product priorities, top-line strategy, and swipe to visually represent the defined creative.
  • Conduct ongoing research on trends, and audience preferences to inform content development.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools to continuously enhance content and content strategies as well as workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends to inform content strategy.
  • Assist in managing client presence on social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and SnapChat
  • Assist in writing social copy for all appropriate platforms and help develop voice and tone for clients
  • Organize, strategize, and plan monthly content calendars
  • Schedule and publish content on various social media channels using scheduling tools and in app scheduling
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and user interactions, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Work closely across all teams to offer insight and analysis of community behavior
  • Assist in influencer/creator outreach and management
  • Translate cultural trends and insights into creative ideas
  • Aid the analytics team by conducting research and providing competitive analysis across social platforms.
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics and prepare regular reports for internal review and client reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends to inform content strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years overall working experience in social media and/or digital marketing for brands
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Meta, X, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, SnapChat, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Able to communicate professionally in both a verbal and written format
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and staying abreast of industry trends and developments. Digitally connected and curious
  • Must love calendars, organization, and have an impeccable eye for detail
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Understanding of the trends shaping consumer behavior today and, in the future
  • Ability to problem-solve using available resources
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of up-to-date iPhone Apps including photo editing, productivity, social networking, and lifestyle
  • Knowledge and understanding of Google Suite, Asana, Slack
  • Knowledge and understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and/or video editing is a plus

  • Learn what the Agency, each department, and the employees do
  • Train on workflow and processes
  • Coordinate plans to take over duties with the Strategy & Content Teams

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, THIS PERSON WILL

  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to build out client calendars and meet criteria deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to schedule and publish content on various social media channels
  • Oversee community management
  • Support the Strategy & Content teams

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, THIS PERSON WILL

  • Successfully plan, manage, organize, and schedule/publish content
  • Independently build out content calendars on time and without mistakes
  • Refine and document your processes and workflow
  • Create position procedures and turnkey training materials
