Own and execute the corporate sales strategy for assigned market segments, with full accountability for revenue growth and market expansion. Drive aggressive growth within Mazzella Companies’ Maritime Segment by deepening strategic customer relationships and winning new, high-value business.
Lead strategic account development efforts, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and partner cross-functionally to deliver sustained, profitable growth. Accelerate revenue within existing segment accounts while building a strong pipeline of new customers through targeted direct and indirect sales initiatives.
Champion the full Mazzella product and service portfolio to increase penetration, adoption, and brand influence, ensuring measurable sales pull-through at the branch level. Expanding and maximizing the national customer base is critical to achieving growth objectives and long-term enterprise success.
The maritime segment has a strong focus on ship building and repair yards, ports, tug & barge, dredge and offshore marine operation customers.
o Identify, pursue, and close high-potential growth opportunities generating $100K+ in incremental annual revenue across national and key regional accounts. o Lead, manage, and train internal teams on maritime compliance, contract execution and customer program requirements. o Conduct joint field sales calls with maritime customers, branches, and key prospects; regular overnight travel required to effectively manage assigned accounts. o Deliver quarterly sales results in alignment with approved business development and growth plans. o Develop and execute strategic account plans and market-specific growth strategies for assigned accounts and territories. o Identify, target, and secure access to executive-level decision-makers and influencers. o Analyze customer needs, buying behaviors, and existing supplier relationships to uncover and capitalize on growth opportunities. o Clearly articulate and present Mazzella’s value proposition to prospects and customers. o Negotiate master service agreements consistent with Mazzella’s margin, pricing, and commercial objectives. o Manage customer procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) to support compliance and ease of doing business. o Oversee customer contracts to ensure compliance, performance, and long-term value creation. o Lead and support quarterly business reviews in partnership with account managers and internal stakeholders. o Prepare and present customer contracts outlining program structure, revenue forecasts, and margin expectations. o Serve as the primary executive point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely, high-quality customer engagement. o Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and Operations to communicate and execute programs across assigned regions. o Maintain post-implementation engagement to strengthen relationships and drive sustained account growth. o Collaborate with leadership and Corporate Marketing to execute segment-specific promotional initiatives. o Perform additional related duties as required to support business objectives

EducationA high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline is preferred; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a management role in a manufacturing facility, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.
Experience & Skills
o Ten or more years of progressive account sales experience within manufacturing, distribution, or a related industrial environment. o Demonstrated success negotiating and closing complex, high-value commercial agreements. o Strong consultative selling skills, including the ability to develop, present, and defend compelling business cases.
o Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook) and strong overall PC literacy. o Oversee, and hold accountable, the consistent use of customer relationship management system (Netsuite)
o Proven ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret sales forecasts, market trends, competitive intelligence, and new product opportunities. o Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior-level decision-makers and actively contribute in executive and cross-functional forums (Sales, Finance, Marketing). o Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with the discipline to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. o Ability to successfully complete required background checks, physical examination, drug screening, and E-Verify verification.

o Contact Director of Safety upon being contacted by any official of a regulatory agency such as OSHA, EPA, etc.
