Position Summary
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for leading internal and external communications, press relations, media engagement, and product seeding initiatives across PCA and affiliated entities including The Premiere Group and BEAUTYSPACE US.
This role ensures consistent brand messaging, proactive storytelling, and positive media visibility while supporting executive communications and organizational alignment across PCA’s global business units.
The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with strong media relationships, exceptional writing skills, and experience in beauty, consumer goods, or lifestyle sectors.
Core Responsibilities
Public Relations & Media Relations
- Develop and execute PR strategies across PCA subsidiaries including The Premiere Group and BEAUTYSPACE US.
- Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry publications.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, talking points, and executive statements.
- Coordinate product seeding initiatives with Brand Management and Marketing teams.
- Track and report on press coverage, media ROI, and sentiment analysis.
Internal Communications
- Lead internal communication strategies for major announcements, policy rollouts, leadership updates, and organizational changes.
- Partner with HR and Executive Leadership to support employee engagement communications, performance review cycles, PTO policy rollouts, and corporate initiatives.
- Ensure messaging aligns with PCA’s values: Accountability, Collaboration, Respect, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement.
Event Communications Support
- Supervise Events Coordinator to support PR-related event planning including product launches, trade shows, press previews, and brand showcases.
- Develop event messaging, press invitations, and post-event coverage.
Social & Marketing Collaboration
- Provide limited support to social media teams to ensure PR messaging alignment.
- Collaborate with Growth Marketing and Brand Management to integrate PR strategy into product launches and campaigns.
Supervisory Responsibility
? Direct oversight of one Events Coordinator.
? Responsible for coaching, performance management, and development in alignment with PCA’s performance review standards (where 80% of team members are expected to meet expectations, consistent with PCA review calibration).
W****ork Environment
This role is In-House Monday – Thursday 9-6pm, Friday WFH 9-6
Physical Demands
Standard office-related physical requirements including sitting, standing, computer use, and occasional lifting of press kits or event materials.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of Public Relations or Corporate Communications experience, preferably in beauty, fragrance, consumer goods, or retail.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience managing press outreach and media relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating product seeding or influencer outreach programs.
- Familiarity with media tracking tools and PR analytics platforms.
- Experience supervising junior staff or coordinators preferred.
