Now in its fourth season, the LIV Golf League features 13 teams competing for both an Individual and Team title at premier golf courses across the world. Headquartered in New York and London, the League holds events in cities across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Africa, with broadcasts reaching nearly 900 million households in more than 200 international markets and territories. LIV Golf was designed to expand the sport on a global level, bring new audiences to the game, create new value within the golfing ecosystem, and enhance the game’s societal impact far beyond the course through the League’s Impact & Sustainability efforts. In 2022, LIV Golf launched The International Series, which features 10 elevated events in world-class destinations. Sanctioned by the Asian Tour, these events offer a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League and the Majors.
HISTORY
Founded in 2021 and officially launched in 2022 with the eight-event LIV Golf Invitational Series, 2025 was our third 14-event season as the LIV Golf League.
The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; four days, 72 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous Team and Individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 900 million homes across 200 international territories, showcase world-class competition happening at LIV Golf’s 14 global events. Music entertainment, food, live concerts, family-friendly activations and offer a festival-like atmosphere. A two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year, our signature hospitality, inclusive atmosphere, quality food and beverage offerings, post-play concerts have helped LIV Golf have helped build record-breaking attendance at events worldwide.
LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.

ROLE OBJECTIVE/THE TEAM
LIV Golf is seeking a strategic and operationally strong Director of Content (New York) to lead content planning, execution, and performance optimization across North American markets while operating as a key counterpart to the London-based Director of Content.
This role will serve as a central connector across League departments, teams, platforms, and partners — ensuring cohesive storytelling, calendar visibility, best-practice adoption, and measurable content impact. The Director will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, driving alignment between global content priorities and regional market opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Content Strategy & Planning
- Partner with London counterpart to develop and operationalize global content strategy across League, teams, and platforms.
- Maintain two-way visibility on publishing calendars, ensuring alignment between League initiatives and team storytelling.
- Drive strategic planning for seasonal, campaign, and event-based content moments.
- Identify cultural trends, emerging formats, and platform opportunities to inform proactive content initiatives.
- Ensure consistent amplification of player, team, and League storylines across owned and operated channels.
Calendar & Workflow Management
- Oversee centralized content calendar visibility through platforms such as Monday.com to enable cross-functional coordination.
- Establish and maintain standardized workflows for content requests, announcements, and campaign rollouts.
- Lead communication rhythms including town halls, planning forums, and cross-department syncs to maintain transparency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a primary liaison across Marketing, Broadcast, Partnerships, Ticketing, Legal, Operations, Retail, and Communications.
- Ensure coordinated messaging and timing across key moments including player signings, ticket releases, partnership announcements, and breaking news.
- Partner with internal marketing and social teams to align amplification strategy and creative execution.
Platform & Distribution Leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with platform partners including YouTube and other social and digital channels to stay ahead of best practices and product evolution.
- Act as conduit between teams and platforms to share insights, feedback, and optimization opportunities.
- Support development of team-specific channel strategies, including YouTube growth and long-form storytelling initiatives.
Content Performance & Insights
- Establish regular benchmarking cadence comparing LIV Golf performance against leading sports properties.
- Drive analytics adoption across teams utilizing tools such as Blinkfire and Emplifi.
- Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations for optimization, monetization, and partner value delivery.
- Develop standardized reporting frameworks to communicate media value and ROI for partners.
Best Practices & Capability Building
- Create and maintain best practice documentation across content creation, publishing, paid partnerships, and branded content compliance.
- Lead knowledge sharing initiatives including benchmarking reports and cross-industry learning exchanges.
- Build and manage centralized creator and influencer ecosystem documentation to support coordinated engagement.
Execution & Event Support
- Provide on-site event leadership ensuring real-time coordination, issue resolution, and storytelling alignment.
- Proactively communicate League storyline priorities and campaign narratives to teams and stakeholders.
- Support rollout of sponsorable content strands and integrated paid strategies across campaigns.
REQUIRED SKILLS/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
- 8–12+ years of experience in sports, media, entertainment, or digital publishing environments.
- Proven success leading multi-platform content strategy and execution at scale.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience operating in global or matrixed organizations.
- Deep understanding of social platforms, video ecosystems, and content monetization models.
- Experience leveraging analytics platforms to drive decision-making and demonstrate commercial impact.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel and support on-site event operations.
