We’re entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a Managing Director to serve as a senior partner to our CEO—owning the day-to-day performance and growth of the business while enabling the CEO to focus on closing marquee talent and brand partnerships. We operate on a hybrid schedule: Mondays and Fridays remote. In-office Tuesday through Thursday with additional half-day offs Fridays throughout the year.

This role may be based in Austin, Texas, or New York City depending on candidate's residency. Regular travel between offices and to key industry events, client meetings, and talent engagements will be required.

The Role

The Managing Director serves as the CEO’s primary operating partner and second-in-command, with full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, commercial performance, and operational execution of the firm. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, proven operational excellence, and the ability to build senior-level relationships with both top-tier brands and talent. You will be responsible for scaling the business, driving profitability, and ensuring the company runs seamlessly—allowing the CEO to focus on the highest-value client and talent opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Define and execute the firm’s long-term growth strategy, in partnership with the CEO.
  • Enable the CEO to focus on marquee talent, brand partnerships, and strategic initiatives by owning internal execution and operational leadership.
  • Identify new revenue streams, partnerships and service-line expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee trends, analysis and findings with analytics team to drive more revenue and strategy.
  • Translate big-picture vision into structured, scalable execution plans.
  • Support executive leadership in preparing the business for long-term scaling opportunities, including potential strategic partnerships, investments, or acquisitions.

Enterprise Partnerships & Business Development

  • Leverage an existing rolodex of senior brand and agency relationships to originate new business opportunities with Fortune 500 brands, large marketing agencies, and high-growth consumer companies
  • Lead strategy, outreach, and pitch development for enterprise client opportunities, from initial relationship building through deal close
  • Develop and execute account strategies to secure long-term, high-value partnerships that drive meaningful revenue growth for the firm and its talent
  • Serve as a senior executive presence in enterprise sales cycles, including participating in key pitch meetings, negotiations, and client presentations
  • Partner closely with the CEO and Director of Revenue/Growth to expand Ponte Firm’s footprint across top-tier brands, holding companies, and agency partners
  • Independently source, cultivate, and close new enterprise relationships that materially contribute to firm revenue growth

Financial & Performance Oversight

  • Own full P&L accountability, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
  • Own commercial performance, including revenue growth, sales pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and client retention.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting in collaboration with finance and analytics partners.
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance dashboards, and accountability frameworks.

Organizational Leadership

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day decision-maker across the business, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely execution.
  • Manage senior leaders, including the Director of Revenue/Growth and key talent and operational team members.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent aligned with company goals and culture.
  • Build a high-performance, collaborative, and creative culture across the organization.

High-Level Client & Talent Relationships

  • Cultivate and manage C-suite brand relationships and top-tier talent relationships, helping close and grow marquee accounts.
  • Serve as a senior presence in key negotiations, pitches, and partnerships.
  • Represent Ponte Firm externally with credibility and leadership across the influencer marketing ecosystem.

Must-Have Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, ideally in influencer marketing, talent management, media, or consumer marketing.
  • Strong network of brand partners / clients
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue and overseeing P&L.
  • Strong strategic and operational leadership experience with teams of 10+.
  • Deep understanding of influencer marketing, creator economy, and brand partnerships.
