Freelance Social Media Manager
Location: Hybrid * Must be location in or around the NYC area with on-site meetings on occasion
Job Type: Independent Contract – Part Time/Hourly
Looking for a creative social media expert to help elevate our CEO and company’s social media strategy. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for developing innovative content and executing strategies to drive growth across multiple platforms. Requires a proactive, independent thinker with excellent editing and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive social media content strategy across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn to amplify brand presence and drive engagement.
- Engagement & Community Management: Actively monitor all social media channels for interactions, respond promptly to comments, inquiries, and feedback, and build meaningful relationships with followers and influencers.
- Data-Driven Performance: Track, analyze, and report on social media analytics to gauge success, identify trends, and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring our content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent tone, voice, and aesthetic across all social media channels, ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management, with a track record of growing audiences and increasing engagement.
- Creative Expertise: Strong proficiency in video editing software and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to create visually compelling and shareable content.
- Social Media & Analytics: Deep understanding of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data-informed decisions.
- Strong relationship management skills to effectively engage with followers and influencers
- Multitasking & Time Management: Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging copy that resonates with diverse audiences.
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with public relations, advertising, and social media marketing strategies.
- Graphic design skills or a strong eye for visual content creation.
