At Apple, we combine product management, product development, and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Manager role that collaborates with design, engineering, operations, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales, and support for maximum impact across the organization.
We are currently seeking a dynamic, successful product marketing professional to join the Apple Watch Product Marketing group. You will be part of the team helping define and market new products and features including Apple Watch SE, the portfolio of bands for Apple Watch, as well as helping Apple continue to lead in the smartwatch, wearable, fitness, and health categories. This includes working both inbound and outbound to drive the development, introduction, and lifecycle of features and technologies. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for future products. Collect global customer, developer, and partner requirements for new products. Manage trade-offs involving features, schedule, line positioning, and lifecycle management.
Discern new product development opportunities while contributing to the development of the overall Apple Watch product line strategy.
Possess expert knowledge of competitive products and market trends. Communicate and position the product in context of the competitive landscape.
Define product positioning and key product messages. Work with marketing communications and PR on the development of product launch activities, press releases, and marketing materials.
Travel the world as the ambassador for Apple Watch attending trade shows, customer visits, and press briefings.
Closely follow emerging technology, consumer and societal trends and recommend how products will fit into those emerging trends.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing
Skilled with press, media, and influencers.
A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.
You can balance multiple projects and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Well-versed formulating product messaging including creating and delivering outbound marketing.
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as shown success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally a few times a year.
Bachelor’s and/ or master’s degree, or MBA preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch.
Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities.
Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following product segments: consumer electronics, smart watch/wearables/fitness/health industries, and/or adjacent consumer hardware, software, or operating systems experience.
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking, crafting a compelling product story, and maintaining composure under pressure.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
