Husqvarna Water is adding a motivated and relationship-driven Contractor Account Manager to accelerate California’s market growth by engaging contractors, influencing specifications, and driving product demand through distribution partners.
This is a high-visibility field sales role for a professional who understands how contractor relationships translate into sustained market share growth. You will work directly with contractors, distributors, and industry influencers to expand the adoption of Hydro-Rain, B-hyve, Bond, and Husqvarna Water solutions across your territory.

What You’ll Do
Drive Contractor Engagement & Market Demand

  • Build strong relationships with contractors, home builders, irrigation designers, and landscape architects
  • Create pull-through demand that drives sales via distribution partners
  • Identify new channel opportunities and develop territory growth plans
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on product application, installation, and performance

Grow Territory Performance

  • Execute strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and account performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Expand market share through targeted contractor development and account management
  • Manage key contractor and distributor relationships within the region

Collaborate Across the Sales Organization

  • Partner closely with Specification Managers and Distribution Managers to maximize opportunities
  • Align sales strategies across teams to strengthen market penetration
  • Support Area Sales and Account Managers through collaboration and shared execution
  • Deliver product training, presentations, and field demonstrations

Represent the Brand in the Market

  • Lead Husqvarna Water participation at distributor open houses, contractor events, and industry trade shows
  • Support contractor engagement programs, including the Contractor Advantage Program
  • Provide market feedback to marketing and product teams to support innovation and product development

Plan, Analyze & Report

  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, and territory budgets
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular reporting to the National Sales Manager
  • Monitor customer service levels to ensure exceptional partner experiences

  • Ability to influence contractors and drive specification-based sales
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution in the field
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7+ years of external sales experience within the Green Industry or related markets preferred, but not an absolute
  • 3+ years of leadership or team coordination experience
  • Experience working with contractor-driven or distributor sales models strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Spanish language skills are an asset
  • Willingness to travel moderately throughout the territory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Work Environment

This field-based role combines customer visits, events, and administrative planning. The position may require standing, walking on uneven terrain, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodation is available for qualified individuals.
