The Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing strategy to create awareness and secure donations for the organization. This position focuses on executing marketing initiatives through content creation (video, photography, and graphic design), social media management, and copywriting across multiple channels. This position reports to the Content Marketing Manager.
Position Overview:
Location: St Pete Office (Primary) | Hybrid
Travel to other RMHTB properties as needed
Schedule: Standard hours, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Occasional availability outside standard business hours is required to capture content, photos, and attend events as needed.
Pay: $42,000/year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Social Media
- Execute the social media strategy across relevant channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Create and oversee social media content.
- Identify and report important social media KPIs especially during social media campaigns.
- Respond to social media comments, thank individual fundraisers (Facebook), and answer questions in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Effectively use social media marketing tools.
- Collaborate with the development and house operations teams to create content supporting the marketing strategy, promoting events and organizational needs.
- Monitor engagement and suggest content optimization to increase and maximize reach.
- Communicate with industry professionals, thought leaders and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
- Design and Brand
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager to implement the marketing strategy.
- Work with the Content Media Manager to develop and implement an annual awareness campaign.
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager to ensure all digital and print marketing materials follow brand guidelines.
- Assist the Content Marketing Manager with strategy and assets for various donor appeals throughout the year (annual appeals, special events and campaigns).
- Develop and distribute promotional and collateral materials, including brochures, event programs, invitations, flyers, press kits, press releases, holiday appeals, display materials, digital assets, PowerPoint presentations, and campaign materials such as billboards, web banners, etc.
- Work with the Content Marketing Manager to create various reports, including the Annual Report, working closely with the team on overall vision and details.
- Videography
- Work with the Content Marketing Manager and the Family Services team to identify families who would like to share their stories and highlight donor initiatives for marketing purposes.
- Meet and interview families, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Capture and edit all videos and photos.
- Publish family stories on the website and social media channels.
- CommunityPublic Relations
- Attend house events, community events, group projects, and community meetings as applicable to the position.
- Draft press releases and deliver compelling messaging to share our mission with the community.
- Work with the Content Marketing Manager to write and support the production of TV, radio PSAs, billboards, etc.
- Represent the organization with community groups or on TV and radio appearances as needed.
- General Responsibilities
- Compile and provide regular reports on social media performance, content performance, and campaign metrics.
- Keep organized files digitally and paper of all photos, press releases, designs, annual reports, media and other relevant documentation.
- Serve as an integral part of the Administrative Team and the greater organization.
- Steward relationships with families, donors, volunteers, board members, and other outside community members you meet at the Ronald McDonald houses, events, or other activities where you represent the organization.
- Serve as Ronald McDonald House ambassador by maintaining a professional image at all times.
- Attend all Ronald McDonald House signature events and other events as requested.
- Other administrative duties that will support the success of the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing position
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- Non-profit experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service oriented and a self-starter
- Strong copywriting skills
- Must be customer service oriented and able to multitask
- Proficient in digital marketing and social media
- Proficient in storytelling marketing
- Ability to understand and apply marketing data
- Ability to effectively use and maximize a small marketing budget
- Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and Social Media Platforms.
