Overview :

The Manager Performance Marketing is responsible for leading and optimizing digital marketing programs, including Paid Search, Affiliate, and Display, for an established omni-channel retailer. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on channel management to drive efficient new customer acquisition and revenue growth for J.Jill.

The position requires experience managing sizable media budgets and collaborating closely with external agencies and cross-functional partners, including analytics and merchandising, to deliver measurable, data-driven results.

Responsibilities :

Paid Search Management

  • Own full-funnel strategy and execution of Google and Bing campaigns.
  • Identify, test and scale customer acquisition campaigns, utilizing all capabilities within Google and Bing platforms (Pmax, DemandGen, YouTube, etc.)
  • Perform seasonal updates to reflect new products, promotions and sales.

Affiliate Program Management

  • Lead, manage, and optimize the affiliate marketing program across influencers, content, loyalty and coupon/deal publishers.
  • Manage affiliate budget, including dynamic commissions, placement fees, agency fees and performance incentives.
  • Identify commission or placement incentives that will drive awareness and new customers.
  • Evaluate recruitment pipelines and promotional strategies.
  • Review and approve agency proposals, partner lists, and outreach strategies.

Display Advertising

  • Manage display advertising via our partnership with Live Intent.
  • Collaborate with creative team on briefs and assets.
  • Work with agency to identify creative or tactical opportunities to scale new customers.

Measurement, Optimization and Budget Tracking

  • Plan and forecast traffic, sales and customers driven by Paid Search, Affiliate and Display channels.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance against KPIs including customer targets, revenue and ROI.
  • Ensure we’re meeting budget targets by tracking daily and weekly investment and forecasts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate on tests, strategies, budgets and results with the performance marketing team.
  • Work closely with brand, creative and merchandising to ensure messaging and campaigns remain on-brand.
  • Partner with retail team to identify and execute on store strategies (new store openings, market tests, etc).
  • Ability to report on learnings & insights across search, affiliates and display.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on-keyboard within Google and Bing platforms and affiliate management.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Adobe, Google, etc).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly adaptable – You can quickly pivot based on business performance and customer trends.
