JOB TITLE: Associate Account Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is a key member of the Chicago Region and Illinois Ford Dealers account management team and works under the direction of the Associate Director on the Client Engagement team based in Detroit. The role will encompass a myriad of different job functions that all support the marketing and advertising efforts of the Ford Dealers client. Your primary responsibility is to assist in many of the day-to-day functions on the account and be a liaison between the Associate Director and the agency team. A "can do" attitude and spirit is necessary for success.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The nature of the position requires ongoing and frequent interactions with in-house agency professionals along with external stakeholders like clients and vendors:
  • Internal to Agency – the AAM has contact with and provides clear, succinct direction to all team members in Account Services, Creative Services, Operations, Media, Print, Traffic, and Broadcast Production department.
  • External to Agency – the AAM has contact with vendors regarding materials for client campaigns and promotional activities; and contact with the client as requested.
    • Vendors/partners include, Local News Stations, Social Media and influencer vendors, Sponsorship partners, etc.
  • Works closely with Agency Team to move Creative, Media and Traffic work through internal system.
  • Create a working environment that encourages and supports a positive mindset about the work as well as the client and agency staff that is involved.
  • Encourage, and demonstrate, unity behind team and agency decision-making.

MEETING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in scheduling and setting up monthly Dealer Board meeting and coordinating invites, hotel arrangements, etc.
  • Travel to monthly offsite meeting locations (some overnights required).
  • Create Meeting Agenda with input of Associate Director and client.
  • Provide clear and succinct notes of all Board decisions.
  • Assist in development and compilation of presentation materials as needed.

OTHER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

  • Draft and distribute dealer correspondence
  • Review and update weekly reports.
  • Communicate monthly specific direction to project managers and traffic department.
  • Facilitate special requests as needed (Tickets, hotel rooms, dealer info requests, etc.)
  • Utilize knowledge of coworkers and resources at hand to develop professionally and take on more responsibilities within Media and Sponsorship Evaluation, Creative Direction Decisions, Budget Management, and more.
  • Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Use sound and logical judgment.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Establish priorities and objectives while adapting to changes in workload and working conditions without loss of productivity on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, within a team environment, and under supervision.
  • Capacity to establish rapport and build strong relationships in a friendly and confident manner with clients, coworkers, and external vendors.
  • Deliver clear, concise and accurate messages both verbally and written.
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient on regularly used programs (Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Word, Excel and internal programs) as well as the Internet.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. A degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, Statistics, or Economics preferred.
  • Computer savvy, knowledge of Social Media.
  • 1+ years of experience (preferred) as a Project Manager, Account or Traffic Coordinator and/or experience in either an agency or marketing department.
