Sales Representative — The Kite Rises (Part-Time)

Location: Portland, Oregon (Hybrid) Hours: 20 hours/week (4 hours/day, Monday–Friday) Pay: $35/hour + $500 commission per closed sale

The Kite Rises is a marketing and technology agency based in Portland, Oregon. We help businesses grow through three core service areas:

Social Media Management — audits, strategy, content creation, social media management, influencer marketing, and ads management.

E-commerce Management — Shopify store maintenance, product and collection management, sales promotions, design updates, development, marketplace management, SEO, and email marketing campaigns.

Tech Development — UX/UI design, technical audits, custom development, and ongoing support and optimization.

We're looking for someone who can help us grow our client base, get in front of the right businesses, and position The Kite Rises as a go-to agency in Portland and beyond.

What You'll Do

You'll own the sales pipeline from prospecting to close — identifying businesses that need help with their social media, ecommerce, or technology, reaching out, qualifying them, and closing the deal. You'll work closely with the founder to understand our services and what makes a great client for us.

Beyond closing, we want someone who thinks about positioning — what industries to target, what partnerships to build, and how to get us in the right rooms. You'll help shape how we grow, not just how fast.

What We're Looking For

Someone with real sales experience, ideally in digital services, marketing, or agencies. Comfortable with outbound outreach, confident on calls, and good at building relationships. Self-directed — you show up with a plan every day.

Helpful but not required: familiarity with Shopify, social media marketing, ecommerce, or the agency world.

Compensation

$35/hour base for 20 hours/week. Plus $500 commission on every closed sale — paid when the client pays. No cap on commissions.
