Position Overview: Merrimack College seeks a dynamic professional to take the role of Enrollment Marketing Specialist for Graduate Marketing. Reporting to the AVP, Enrollment Marketing, this position plays an integral role in attracting, nurturing and yielding students for Merrimack’s programs, through the execution of high-quality communications and promotions. You will work closely with Graduate Admissions, Communications, and academic program directors to deliver on multifaceted marketing and recruitment plans.
Merrimack’s 100+ undergraduate majors represent growing fields in STEM, Education, Nursing, and Business, among other areas. Our 40+ graduate programs include both master’s degrees and professional certificates across all 6 of Merrimack’s schools - the Girard School of Business, the Graduate School of Counseling and Social Work, the School of Education and Social Policy, the School of Health Sciences, the School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Successful candidates will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, excellent writing ability, an unwavering focus on business results, and be able to thrive working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:* Support the inquiry-to-student communication plan through drafting and executing compelling segmented and personalized emails (using Slate enrollment management software), and ensuring coordination of email, web, and social messaging.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Office of Communications in developing website and social media content to promote graduate and professional studies programs, including influencer content, deadline pushes, event promotions, student and faculty stories, and related news.
- Help develop creative themes for use in promotions and work with outside partners to develop materials such as brochures, print ads, posters, and postcards.
- Assist with the creation and editing of web pages in WordPress as needed.
- Help with the creation and optimization of program description pages to maximize visitor engagement and conversion.
- Drive the sourcing and production of video content for use in digital and social media marketing, including alumni/student testimonials and faculty/school/program spotlights
- Assist with the regular reporting of email and marketing program results, including creating utm parameters to track the effectiveness of specific campaigns and channels.
- Conduct marketing and social media activities for prospective student events, including approximately 8-10 admissions events
- Administrative and miscellaneous duties as needed, including but not limited to tasks such as assisting with mailings, hanging posters on campus, managing collateral inventory, or ordering office supplies.
Skills & Qualification* BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, English or related field required
2-3 years of marketing experience, preferably working with education organizations or clients Deep familiarity with digital/social channels and best practices* Willingness to be entrepreneurial in adopting and driving new applications, processes and ideas, including leveraging AI; adept at using AI tools for workflow and content development among other uses, stays current on how to use AI to expand quality and efficiency
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Creativity and a good eye for design
- Familiarity with Slate or similar CRM system strongly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of design software (Canva, InDesign, other) strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
- Eagerness to learn and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Work Location* This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.
- Must work on Merrimack’s campus 3-5 days per week dependent on departmental priorities and dependent on manager discretion
- Evening and weekend work required for special events and student services
