KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Communications-Audit and Assurance and KPMG Private to join our Corporate Affairs team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic communications programs to advance practice-wide priorities and enhance reputation, and area of focus include AI in the audit, digital assets, the future of the profession, assurance services, the evolution of the private market
- Serve as a key contact for media, building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers; strategically utilizes AI tools to analyze data, identify emerging trends, and inform communications strategy for more effective, and efficient execution
- Demonstrate exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills to create compelling narratives and develop clear, consistent messaging for various audiences
- Develop messaging targeted to both internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to talking points and briefing documents, press releases, social media content; manage complex programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and delivering results on time and on budget
- Apply rigorous attention to research and metrics, incorporating AI-driven insights and learnings into communications strategies to drive successful outcomes; collaborate with internal teams and senior stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging, and proactively identify newsworthy opportunities
- Monitor traditional and social media for industry trends and competitive analysis, bringing external case studies and insights into our communications planning
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience in communications or public relations, with agency or accounting/professional services background
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful media relations strategies, including new media platforms and AI-driven strategies; experience co-developing campaigns with marketing or brand teams is preferred
- Experience working with data analysis and research for thought leadership is preferred
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and acting as a trusted advisor on messaging, strategy, and media; media training experience is preferred; demonstrated experience or strong interest in using AI-powered tools strategically to inform communications, streamline workflows, and generate insights
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives for media and external audiences; strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail, deadlines, and managing multiple priorities
- Ability to translate complex and sometimes highly technical information for different audiences; forward-thinker and self-starter who exercises independent judgment and brings creative, data-driven ideas to the team
