About the Job:

Assist in the development and execution of public relations activities that support the Pacsun corporate and brand marketing goals. The PR Coordinator supports the Public Relations function by providing administrative, organizational, and executional support to the Sr. PR & Communications Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day PR operations, maintaining strong media and partner relationships, and supporting brand visibility across earned media, influencer, and corporate communications channels within a fast-paced retail environment.

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

  • Work in a highly collaborative environment to bring Public Relations initiatives and brand marketing campaigns to life.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sr. PR & Communications Manager, including calendar coordination, meeting scheduling, and documentation.
  • Maintain PR calendars, timelines, and campaign trackers to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Organize contracts, invoices, budgets, and vendor documentation related to PR and Influencer partnerships.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain and update media, influencer, and stylist contact lists
  • Assist with media outreach preparation, including pitch lists, press materials, and sample tracking
  • Coordinate product seeding, gifting, and sample trafficking to media, influencers, and partners
  • Track and report media placements, influencer posts, and campaign coverage
  • Support the creation and distribution of press releases, media alerts, and internal communications
  • Assist in compiling press kits, brand decks, and briefing documents
  • Monitor media coverage and compile weekly/monthly PR recaps and reports
  • Support crisis communication preparation by organizing materials and documentation as needed
  • Partner with Marketing, Social, Merchandising, Creative, Legal, and E-Commerce teams to support PR initiatives
  • Assist with coordination of events, brand activations, store openings, and press appointments
  • Support alignment between PR initiatives and broader brand marketing strategies.
  • Assist with industry award and media recognition submissions by tracking deadlines and compiling supporting materials.

What it takes to Join:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in PR, communications, marketing, or administrative support (internship experience considered).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with PR tools (e.g., media databases, influencer platforms) a plus.
  • Interest in fashion, retail, consumer brands, and media trends.

Salary Range: $50,055- $70,539

  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
