J.Jill is entering an exciting new chapter — and we’re looking for a visionary Senior Director Brand Marketing to help shape it. This is a rare opportunity to lead a beloved women’s apparel brand through its next evolution, expanding our reach to new audiences while deepening brand love with our loyal customers.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Customer Experience, this leader will oversee a talented team and serve as the driving force behind our brand storytelling, marketing expression, and customer engagement strategy.

Responsibilities:

Brand Stewardship & Identity

  • Own and evolve the J.Jill brand strategy, including positioning, brand pillars, voice, visual identity, and core creative assets.
  • Partner closely with our internal creative agency to bring the brand to life across every touchpoint.

Seasonal GTM Planning & Storytelling

  • Translate product and brand priorities into effective and innovative integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Lead seasonal briefing, cross‑channel activation, and the execution of brand moments and activations (in partnership with external agencies when needed).

Branded Channel Ownership

  • Oversee organic social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement to grow followership and strengthen brand perception.
  • Lead our influencer marketing strategy, ensuring content is authentic, relevant, and aligned with brand goals.

Philanthropy & Purpose

  • Steward The Compassion Fund, a 20+ year program that has contributed more than $20M to women’s causes.
  • Expand the visibility, scale, and impact of this signature program across customers, associates, and partner organizations.

Customer & Market Insights

  • Build and execute a comprehensive customer insights roadmap, including qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging customer needs to fuel brand and business growth.

Retail Marketing

  • Drive awareness and excitement for new store openings and in‑store events.
  • Create memorable experiences that celebrate our best customers and welcome new ones into the brand within our stores.

Brand Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Own the brand marketing budget, investment strategy, and KPI framework.
  • Develop and execute annual and seasonal brand marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, traffic, and trial.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, with increasing leadership responsibility and team management.
  • Deep understanding of the apparel, fashion, or beauty industries, including trends and innovation.
  • Proven track record developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Strong brand leadership with the ability to build, protect, and evolve brand identity and voice while delivering business impact.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaborator who can influence and align creative, product, design, agency, and executive partners.
  • Experience building and optimizing processes to improve efficiency, output, and team effectiveness.
  • Scrappy, resourceful leader with a bias for action who inspires high performance, clarity, and creativity.
