About the Role

Culligan is seeking a digitally savvy Summer Intern to support our Marketing team, with a focus on the Culligan pitcher portfolio and TikTok Shop growth. This role will be reporting to the Senior Social Media, Influencer Marketing and Affiliate Manager.

TikTok Shop is a priority retail channel in 2026. This intern will play a hands-on role in scaling our organic presence and supporting social commerce initiatives by driving consistent content output, engaging our community, and collaborating with our affiliate agency partner.

What You’ll Do

Community Management & Social Listening (45%)

  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs daily in a brand-aligned voice on TikTok and Instagram, with a primary focus on TikTok (TikTok Shop).
  • Surface recurring questions and insights to inform future content
  • Within TikTok specifically
    • Respond to Shop order issues within 48 hours and escalate to necessary parties.
    • Engage with creators and affiliates to strengthen community relationships
    • Identify high-intent shopping comments and proactively guide users to TikTok Shop

Content Creation & Social Commerce (35%)

  • Concept, film, edit, publish and measure 7+ TikTok posts per week that amplify our brand voice and drive traffic to TikTok Shop
  • Test trending formats, hooks, and shopping-forward content concepts
  • Tag products accurately and optimize posts for Shop conversion
  • Identify and repurpose high-performing affiliate or UGC content
  • Support performance tracking (views, engagement rate, click-through behavior)
  • Research and develop content pillars specific to TikTok that drive views and relevance.

TikTok Shop Affiliate Support (20%)

  • Monitor and respond to TikTok Shop Affilaite sample order issues and respond within 48 hours.
  • Monitor TikTok Shop reviews and flag customer feedback trends

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Deeply familiar with TikTok trends, culture, and shopping behaviors
  • Comfortable filming and editing short-form video (CapCut, TikTok native tools, etc.)
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Interested in social commerce, affiliate marketing, and performance analytics

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Strengthening community engagement through timely responses by using a brand aligned voice that fosters a stronger relationship with our consumers.
  • Identifying at least 2–3 repeatable content pillars that drive consistent performance
  • Consistently publishing 7+ TikTok posts per week
  • Supporting an increase in TikTok engagement rate and/or video view rate vs. baseline
  • Contributing to measurable growth in TikTok Shop traffic driven by organic content
  • Providing weekly performance insights and content recommendations

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour (non-exempt, hourly position).
  • Benefits: This position is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.
