Body Fit Training (BFT) is a high-energy, science-backed group strength and conditioning training fitness studio focused on delivering results and community. Our Brentwood location is growing fast, and we’re looking for a driven, people-first Membership & Marketing Manager to help elevate the member experience, drive growth, and strengthen our brand presence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Membership & Marketing Manager is the brand voice and community engine of BFT Brentwood. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and is equally comfortable crafting a compelling Instagram reel as they are shaking hands at a local event. You will own our studio’s presence across all digital and physical touchpoints — from daily social media to member newsletters to Google and Meta ad campaigns — while working alongside the General Manager to drive membership growth and studio awareness throughout the Brentwood community.

This is not a desk job. Your office is the studio floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Plan, create, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly content across all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others
  • Capture authentic in-studio content — classes in action, member transformations, coach spotlights, and community moments — and turn them into compelling stories
  • Maintain a consistent content calendar that drives brand awareness, engagement, and new lead generation
  • Manage and grow the studio’s social media accounts and online community
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and foster an active and positive online presence
  • Stay current with platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging content formats

Digital Advertising & SEO

  • Plan, manage, and optimize monthly Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) paid advertising campaigns
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and make data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI and lead generation
  • Manage local SEO strategy to improve studio visibility in search results across the Brentwood and greater Los Angeles market
  • Track key metrics including reach, engagement, click-through rates, cost per lead, and membership conversion

Member Events & Community Activation

  • Conceive, plan, and execute monthly member events including milestone celebrations, community challenges, fitness events, and studio activations
  • Manage all event logistics from concept to execution including promotion, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up
  • Create a calendar of events that strengthens member retention and drives new member referrals

Member Communications & Studio Materials

  • Write and distribute member newsletters, email campaigns, studio announcements, and promotional communications
  • Design and produce all studio print materials including flyers, signage, promotional collateral, and in-studio displays
  • Maintain brand consistency across all written and visual communications
  • Manage member-facing communications to ensure our community feels informed, valued, and connected

Sales Support & B2B Partnerships

  • Assist the General Manager with sales initiatives, membership drives, and lead nurturing strategies
  • Identify, develop, and maintain business-to-business (B2B) corporate wellness partnerships to grow studio awareness and drive group memberships
  • Represent BFT Brentwood at local community events, networking opportunities, and partner activations
  • Build and manage relationships with local businesses, brands, influencers, and community organizations to expand studio visibility in the Brentwood area
  • Develop co-marketing opportunities and cross-promotional campaigns with aligned consumer brands

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a marketing, social media, or brand management role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in social media management across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and local search optimization
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write in a compelling, on-brand voice
  • Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership without heavy oversight
  • Genuine passion for fitness, health, and wellness

Preferred

  • Experience in the fitness, wellness, or boutique studio industry
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite or other as designated by Employer.
  • Photography and/or video production skills — the ability to shoot and edit short-form content is a major plus
  • Existing knowledge of the Brentwood or West Los Angeles community
  • Experience with community building, influencer outreach, or brand ambassador programs

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

  • Part-time position: 25 to 30 hours per week; potential to grow into a full time role with studio growth.
  • Schedule aligned with studio class hours (mornings, evenings, and one weekend day. Flexibility in availability is required for this role.
  • Competitive hourly compensation PLUS monthly bonus potential based on studio performance
