The Social Media Strategist leads several high-profile hospitality partner accounts while developing impactful, best-in-class social marketing campaigns for the agency’s portfolio of clients.

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST RESPONSIBILITIES

DEVELOPMENT

  • Maintain an understanding of partner brand voices and create authentic stories that drive engagement and revenue.
  • Ensure resonant storytelling practices, effective social copy and innovative content strategies across all platforms.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Culture & Motivation: Display initiative and a leadership mindset that contributes positively to the combined productivity of assigned account teams and the Travel Social Media department.
  • Culture Initiatives: Take part in building Kinship’s work culture, by actively volunteering for additional committees, programs and initiatives outside of normal social marketing duties.
  • Safe Space: Create a safe space and build trusted relationships within the account team to share challenges, develop recovery strategies and apply key learnings.
  • Training & Onboarding: Participate in new process trainings to bridge knowledge gaps while sharing skills to educate the team on workflow improvements and essential tools.
  • Creative Assessment: Assess creative portfolios and content calendars to evaluate social content quality and ensure strategic alignment with partners.
  • STRATEGY & PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Account Ownership: Serve on account lead on 3+ partner accounts, notably higher-profile accounts within the agency’s client portfolio.
  • Strategy Evolution: Challenge, evolve and scale strategy across the department and its 60+ client partners.
  • Engagement Oversight: Support leaders with monitoring and optimizing engagement performance and track partner results.
  • Account Recovery: Work with leadership to establish rapid-response "Recovery Plan" strategies for account recovery when needed, while maintaining poise and calm to strengthen partner relationships.
  • Strategic Improvements: Develop action plans for your account team to optimize its performance while maintaining high morale.
  • A/B Testing: Implement A/B testing in content strategy and paid social campaigns. Apply key learnings gained from insights.

CONTENT & ENGAGEMENT

  • Creative Oversight: Oversee storytelling quality, engagement, content quality and process efficiency.
  • Content Planning: Develop and execute yearly content plans to drive consistent brand storytelling and social metric KPIs.
  • Content Production: Develop and produce social media assets, whether through own means, in partnership with clients and other creators, or in collaboration with the agency’s Studio team.
  • Community Management: Actively monitor and engage partner social audiences to build brand loyalty, solve customer issues and incentivize engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Proactively maintain lists of influential entities, personalities, local businesses, community groups and more, reaching out to them often for collaborative partnerships to amplify partner’s social presence and grow social followings.
  • Influencer Marketing: Work with agency influencer team to maintain targeted creator lists, reaching out to influencers regularly for content development and collaborative opportunities.
  • Innovation: Identify and forecast emerging trends and drive adoption of new strategic channels, content types and tools.

REPORTING

  • Performance Tracking: Collect social media metrics for monthly performance tracking, monitoring YTD goals and platform analytics to improve strategy.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Report performance insights to account team leadership and partners on an ad-hoc, monthly and yearly basis.
  • Data Synthesis: Present high-level, data-informed insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Salary: $60-$70K depending on experience
