Overview:
It is the responsibility of the Social Media Specialist to coordinate all facets of Golden Nugget and Golden Nugget Laughlin social media and PR activity. As the Social Media and Marketing Specialist, additional responsibilities exist to assist the Digital Marketing Manager and Graphic Designers with advertising materials. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and relevant content to disseminate through existing and emerging social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Respond to guest comments, inquiries and reviews on all social media and travel review platforms.
- Have knowledge/understanding of social media-related technology/advertising and be able to guide these strategies for the property.
- Consistently seek out innovative tools and opportunities to promote the company’s brand and retail message through social media and public relations programs.
- Recommend and coordinate all influencer marketing partnerships and campaigns.
- Manage relationship with PR agency and corporate PR.
- Ensure property leadership is aware of and prepared for PR opportunities.
- Maintain and distribute press kits and press releases, as needed.
- Consolidate and maintain all media coverage.
- Solicit and coordinate media events, promotions, and fam trips.
- Keep all media listings current.
- Assist with property video and photo shoots.
- Assist with special events, as needed.
- Open and monitor creative jobs/requests for all collateral and media applications.
- Perform the proper follow-up for each job including proofing and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Work with vendors for bid pricing, specification and fulfillment.
- Perform website content updates as needed.
- Maintain relationships with on property executives and corporate to print advertising material.
- Assist with ensuring on-property advertising is current and in good condition.
- Other marketing-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Expert comfort level with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to capture high‑quality photo and video content, ensuring strong composition, lighting awareness, and consistency with brand standards.
- Experience with video‑editing platforms (e.g., CapCut) to create engaging, on‑trend social media videos.
- Create and manage comprehensive social media content calendars across multiple accounts, ensuring timely posting, strategic alignment, and consistent brand messaging.
- Strong attention to detail and impeccable follow through.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent and articulate English.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- Familiar with boosting posts and managing ad budgets through Meta Ads is a plus
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.
- Project management software experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or related degree preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in the casino/hotel/travel industry or ad agency.
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
- Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
