What we need:

We are seeking a strategic thinker with experience in managing and elevating the brand image for dynamic product launches. This position will oversee all media relations and communications for our career development SaaS platform and a real estate initiative. In this capacity, you will be tasked with developing PR strategies, composing press materials, pitching stories, and fostering relationships with media outlets to secure coverage across print, digital, and broadcast platforms. The role requires a blend of relationship-building and exceptional writing skills to influence how the public perceives our products and services.

You will also collaborate closely with our marketing and product teams to ensure consistent, aligned messaging across all channels. Your creativity and insight will be pivotal in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and elevate our brand presence. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of market trends and the ability to adapt strategies in a rapidly changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Relations: Cultivating and nurturing connections with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to effectively pitch and secure coverage for our projects.Content Creation:

  • Crafting press releases, developing media alerts, writing staff hiring announcements, bios, and assembling digital press kits.

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute publicity campaigns to enhance brand awareness or promote specific projects like documentaries, book signings, and touring events.

Event Coordination:

  • Organizing press conferences, media events, internal and external celebratory events.

Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with our marketing, sales, and development team leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar fields
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a publicist role, along with demonstrable examples of your accomplishments.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication, particularly in pitching and copywriting.
  • Ability to build and maintain media contacts.
  • Thinking creatively to secure coverage in a competitive market
  • Manage multiple campaigns, clients, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Has writing samples of previous work
