About the Role
Ameda is seeking a
certified lactation consultant
for the role of
Lactation Education & Social Media Strategist
to create engaging educational content related to breastfeeding and pumping for social media, our website, and other digital platforms. In addition, this role will guide our ParentCare Team with as needed lactation support. You will develop informative resources, share evidence-based guidance, and craft campaigns that connect with and support our community of parents. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Team to grow our online presence, drive engagement, and ensure our digital content reflects Ameda’s expertise and commitment to breastfeeding support.
Your Impact
As the
Lactation Education & Social Media Strategist
, you will:
- Own and execute the social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Plan and manage content calendars and campaigns that align with seasonal trends, product launches, and company objectives
- Create engaging, on-brand content that builds awareness, drives community interaction, and supports product education
- Serve as Ameda’s trusted lactation resource, providing evidence-based educational content, answering community questions, and supporting parents with breastfeeding and pumping guidance
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage engaging educational content for social media, the website, and other digital or print channels, including graphics, videos, and captions.
- Serve as Ameda’s trusted lactation expert by providing evidence-based guidance on breastfeeding and pumping.
- Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars to grow brand awareness, engagement, and community.
- Collaborate with internal teams on new product development, product launches, campaigns, partnerships, and promotions.
- Manage influencer partnerships and paid social media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Google, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor platform performance, engagement metrics, and trends to optimize content and strategy.
- Interact with followers to build community, answer questions, and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Stay up-to-date on parenting, breastfeeding, and digital marketing trends to inform content and campaigns.
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts and content marketing.
- Certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) or equivalent experience required.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a passion for creating educational content that connects with parents.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and graphic design platforms such as Canva.
- Hands-on experience with paid social media campaigns and performance tracking.
- Comfortable producing and editing short-form video content for TikTok, Reels, and similar platforms.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze social performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Knowledge of breastfeeding, pumping, and parenting trends, with the ability to translate evidence-based guidance into engaging content.
Salary: $100,000
