Position Summary
The Director of Community Engagement serves as a strategic leader and ambassador for Meals on Wheels Collin County (MOWCC), advancing the organization’s mission to combat senior hunger and isolation throughout Collin County.
This role is responsible for building meaningful business and community and business partnerships, expanding volunteer engagement, strengthening corporate support, and increasing public awareness of the critical needs of homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. The Director ensures community involvement directly supports program sustainability, funding growth, and client impact.

- Increasing community awareness of senior hunger and isolation
- Expanding corporate and community partnerships to sustain and grow services
- Strengthening volunteer recruitment to ensure uninterrupted meal delivery
- Supporting fundraising initiatives that allow clients to remain independent in their homes
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Partnership Development
- Develop and implement a strategic business partnership plan to increase corporate engagement across Collin County.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with local businesses, corporations, chambers of commerce, healthcare providers, and community leaders.
- Secure corporate sponsorships, in-kind contributions, employee engagement programs, and cause-marketing opportunities.
- Establish long-term partnerships that provide sustainable financial and volunteer support.
- Maintain ongoing communication and stewardship to ensure high partner retention and satisfaction.
Corporate Takeovers & Employee Engagement
- Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of Corporate Takeover Days, where businesses sponsor and provide volunteer teams to assist with meal delivery or special projects.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Services, Operations, and Development to ensure seamless coordination and mission alignment.
- Develop structured takeover packages, sponsorship levels, and engagement opportunities.
- Ensure corporate participants receive meaningful mission education and impact reporting.
- Track participation, sponsorship revenue, and retention metrics for continuous growth.
Community Partnership Development
- Cultivate relationships with civic groups, faith-based organizations, municipalities, and community influencers.
- Represent MOWCC at networking events, public forums, and speaking engagements.
- Identify new outreach opportunities that increase visibility and community engagement.
Volunteer Engagement & Growth
- Collaborate with Volunteer Services to drive corporate, group, and individual volunteer recruitment initiatives.
- Develop strategies to increase route coverage and event participation.
- Ensure volunteers understand the impact of daily meal delivery and wellness checks.
Fundraising & Event Collaboration
- Partner with Development to support fundraising campaigns, sponsorship growth, and third-party events.
- Assist in identifying prospective corporate donors and advocates.
- Support stewardship efforts to ensure long-term engagement.
Community Awareness & Advocacy
- Work closely with Marketing & Communications to highlight client stories, corporate partners, and volunteer impact.
- Increase public awareness of senior food insecurity and social isolation.
- Serve as an organizational spokesperson as appropriate.
Strategic Leadership & Accountability
- Establish measurable goals for partnership growth, corporate takeovers, volunteer expansion, and sponsorship revenue.
- Track engagement metrics and analyze return on investment.
- Prepare regular reports for the CEO/Executive Director and leadership team.
- Manage assigned budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit community engagement, corporate partnerships, fundraising, or business development.
- Demonstrated success securing corporate sponsorships and managing community partnerships.

Working Conditions
- Office-based in McKinney, Texas, with regular travel throughout Collin County.
- Frequent attendance at community events; some evenings and weekends required.

Chief Executive Officer / Executive Director
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
