A Day in the Life
Peripheral Vascular is one of the most exciting and dynamic spaces in medical devices, with innovation focused on several therapy areas, including Superficial Venous. Medtronic is the market leader in endovascular treatments for venous disease, offering evidence-backed technologies to improve outcomes and the patient experience. The Global Superficial Marketing Director will drive growth of the Medtronic Superficial Venous portfolio worldwide. This individual will shape the marketing and market development strategy, develop and execute impactful downstream initiatives, and serve as an influencer among key opinion leaders. This leader will also guide a team to accelerate growth, increase awareness, strengthen customer connections, manage product line health, and drive product preference for the Superficial Venous portfolio.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead downstream marketing and market development functions to drive growth of Superficial Venous products.
- Develop a strong team of downstream marketers who are innovative, execution-oriented, and experts in their product categories.
- Create and implement a cohesive annual marketing plan in partnership with U.S. and global sales teams, as well as cross-functional partners.
- Develop and execute marketing programs to drive revenue and market share growth.
- Analyze markets and market trends, translating insights into thoughtful long-term strategic planning.
- Provide downstream insights for quarterly investor relations and market analytics summaries.
- Collaborate with finance and sales to set AOP targets across product lines.
- Provide projections of product demand and mix to inform operations build plans.
- Implement innovative market development, customer, and patient marketing campaigns to maintain share leadership and expand patient access to therapy.
- Foster and develop positive relationships with customers and external partners to support therapy acceptance and the safe, effective use of Medtronic products.
- Align with regional (OUS) commercial leaders to develop and launch regional marketing strategies.
- Lead the field-based market development team in executing customer and patient education programs.
- Develop new product launch plans, including product pricing, channel strategy, messaging, and segmentation.
- Identify global expansion opportunities.
- Develop and implement operating plans to support product and program launches and achieve desired financial results.
- Gain alignment with leaders, including the Marketing VP, Sales Leadership, and cross-functional partners, on strategy and action plans.
- Drive prioritization and manage the marketing budget and margin targets.
- Ensure strong alignment and competitive planning processes for hospitals, ASCs, and office-based labs.
- Lead, manage, and participate in cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration, alignment, and full integration of all disciplines required for successful plan execution and achievement of results.
- Ensure alignment across key stakeholders, including the field sales force, global teams, marketing communications, strategy, and pipeline marketing teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree
REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years with increasing responsibility in marketing and/or sales, with strong preference for both downstream and sales medical device experience
- 3+ years people management experience with proven track record in recruiting, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in medical device marketing.
- Clear, structured thinker with the ability to transform concepts from idea to action.
- Excellent communicator, skilled at engaging multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated success in developing relationships with colleagues, including sales teams.
- Proven ability to build strong physician relationships and partner with KOLs and key customers to implement effective marketing strategies.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Solid marketing expertise in targeting, segmentation, positioning, and product launches.
- Global mindset with experience working across diverse markets.
- Collaborative approach with sales, marketing, regional teams, functional groups, and customers.
- Experience developing and executing new strategic approaches.
- Experience creating and implementing advertising and messaging campaigns.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$192,000.00 - $288,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
