As we grow our events and marketing efforts, we're looking for an energetic coordinator to own both areas and help us stand out in the Madison-area gastropub scene.

We're hiring an Event Coordinator & Marketing Specialist to drive private event bookings, execute flawless gatherings, and boost our brand through creative marketing. This dual-role position combines sales/outreach for events with hands-on marketing (social media, promotions, content) to increase visibility, foot traffic, and revenue. Key Responsibilities

Events (60%)

Handle inquiries, site tours, proposals, contracts, and bookings for private events (corporate meetings, birthdays, rehearsal dinners, tastings, fundraisers).

Create customized packages featuring our craft beer flights, seasonal menus, and space setup.

Manage full event lifecycle: client communication → Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) → vendor coordination → on-site execution/supervision → post-event follow-up and reviews.

Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams for seamless delivery.

Upsell add-ons (premium bars, themed decor, extended hours) to maximize revenue.

Assist with public events (trivia, live music, beer releases) as needed.

Marketing (40%):

Manage social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) — create/post content, engage followers, run promotions.

Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote events, specials, happy hours, and seasonal menus.

Create eye-catching graphics, email newsletters, and digital ads using tools like Canva or similar.

Track performance metrics (engagement, attendance, sales lift) and report insights to ownership.

Build partnerships with local businesses/influencers for cross-promotions.

Help maintain website updates and online presence.

Qualifications

2+ years in event coordination, marketing, sales, or hospitality (restaurant, brewery, gastropub, catering, or venue experience preferred).

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and customer service—charismatic with clients and team.

Creative mindset for content/marketing; familiarity with social media tools and basic graphic design.

Knowledge of food/beverage trends, craft beer, and local Wisconsin scene a plus.

Proficiency with Google Workspace, POS systems, event software (e.g., Event Pro, Toast), or social schedulers.

Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, some holidays for events).

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
