Position Summary Lead & influence strategic planning and execution for major brand priorities. Lead a high performing team that delivers initiative development & governance, new store design, capital planning, competitive tracking & planning, strategic communications support and the ideation & delivery of innovative projects. Facilitate, guide and influence major initiatives and provide insight to opportunities and progress. Develop business cases and cross-functional enrollment for the financial & human resources required to successfully support initiatives.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Guide the brand leadership team in identifying and prioritizing annual priorities, including financial and strategic implications
- Regularly facilitate leadership team conversations to review progress and updates to the strategic plans
- Align the brand leadership team on concepts, causing targeted decisions between departments that best maximize sales and profitability
- Lead the facilitation of new store designs that appropriately display the brand and business model
- Own the banner process to engage with partners in regards to new stores, remodel/strategy roll out markets and other capital projects as necessary
- Coordinate financial investment modeling/assumptions for capital projects
- Maintain scope definition for remodels to ensure prototype designs remain consistent throughout the network
- Create brand documents that support the strategy and communications for Food Lion leadership, ADUSA leadership and AD leadership
- Influence cross functional teams as a key member of brand teams and committees on large-scale and/or long-term special projects
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail business
- 10+ years of leadership experience at Manager level or higher in retail business
- Extensive retail operations experience gained through effectively leading a retail supermarket
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to lead high performing teams
- Superior cross functional leadership experience
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven ability to influence and lead up, down, and across the organization
Preferred Qualification
- MBA or graduate degree
- Extensive small and large group facilitation skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. /B.A.)

- Strong analytical skills with ability to present/summarize in efficient manner for various levels of management
- Mastery of Excel and database analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to train/coach direct and indirect reports
