DLX is a brand strategy and communications agency specializing in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, design and hospitality. Founded in 2015 by Guillaume Delacroix, DLX operates globally with offices in Paris, New York, and London. Led by co-founder Justin Padgett, DLX NYC opened in 2018 and is based in SoHo, New York.

Role Description:

We’re looking for a creative and dynamic lifestyle manager to join our growing team in New York. Reporting to a Vice President and Managing Director, the role will support several leading hospitality and design clients and is integral to client deliverables and junior team management.

The ideal candidate will be culture obsessed and resourceful, and consistently demonstrate critical thinking, along with the ability to execute creative strategies and secure press coverage. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. Strong media relationships and the ability to build a pipeline of ongoing press coverage and secure brand features is critical for success. Excel and/or Google Sheet familiarity required.

Minimum 7 years lifestyle PR/communications experience required.

Note: this is a full-time role, based in New York City. The successful candidate will have the ability to work from our office in SoHo three days per week.

  • Deep and genuine understanding of the creative industries, as well as the US media landscape is essential
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft or support the creation of press releases, craft concise and successful media pitches, and consult or advise on tone of voice across client marketing collateral
  • Experience in developing media strategies for brands or individuals, with proven track record of securing personal and business profiles and coverage on hotel openings, , programming, and more
  • Experience in developing influencer programs, both paid and organic
  • Experience in supporting the execution of brand events, including the creation of invitation lists, securing event coverage, managing talent, interviews, and photographers
  • Support the senior team in the development and execution of inventive communications strategies aligned to client objectives, covering established and emerging media, and social media
  • Industry relationships from media to influencers and beyond
  • Manage and provide strategic guidance on media and partner requests for photo shoots and editorial features
  • Proven management experience with the ability to develop and mentor the coordinator, assistant, and intern levels
  • Constant adherence to deadlines with the ability to effectively work in a high pressure, fast paced, and deadline driven environment across multiple clients at a time
  • Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships and efficient communication flow with clients
  • Manage the creation of the client reporting process

Agency experience essential.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Incentive Structure: Additional compensation tied to revenue generation
