Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Intern will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Team to assist with earned media efforts, article & social media content creation, daily posting and scheduling, listening/monitoring, compiling industry stories, assisting with the ideation & execution of marketing campaigns, attending & assisting in the planning of marketing events and additional projects as assigned. The intern will help ensure the content is high-quality, engaging, and appealing for all of UDIM’s target audiences.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student currently in, or completed second year of major in communications/marketing/advertising
• Availability of 30 -35 hours/week

Duration: May 2026 – August 2026

Roles & Responsibilities

• Report to and work closely with the Marketing & Communications Senior Manager and other team members on all projects.
• Manage multiple projects with varying timelines.
• Ensure all content uses a consistent tone and voice with UDIM branding, including all microsites.
• Assist with media relations efforts, including press releases and media monitoring/reporting.
• Assist in writing digital content, including monthly e-newsletters, social posts, web content & articles.
• Identify and communicate on-farm sustainability stories to the consumer audience.
• Research and initiate relationships with new digital influencers to create content that coincides with key messaging periods.
• Assist with writing and brainstorming creative briefs for social media content and graphics.
• Actively participate in content marketing and social strategy brainstorming meetings.
• Attend & assist in planning of UDIM marketing events.
• Attend UDIM sponsored or partner events, as needed.
• Work in collaboration with UDIM’s Industry Relations, Health & Wellness, and Operations departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, License, Certification, Experience & Languages

• Enrolled student currently in, or completed second year of major in communications/marketing/advertising
• Office 365 - Familiar
• Social Media Platform Experience - Preferred
• Asana (project management software) - not required, will train
• Salesforce (CRM tool) - not required, will train
