Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Communications Coordinator to join our team and elevate our organization’s messaging across multiple channels. In this role, you will be the voice of our brand, crafting compelling narratives, managing media relations, and ensuring our communications are clear, engaging, and aligned with our strategic goals. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for storytelling will help us connect authentically with diverse audiences and enhance our public presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that promote organizational initiatives and values.
  • Write, edit, and proofread press releases, articles, social media content, and internal communications following AP style guidelines for consistency and professionalism.
  • Manage media relations by building strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure positive coverage.
  • Coordinate public speaking engagements and prepare spokespersons for media interviews or presentations.
  • Conduct research to stay informed on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive positioning to inform communication efforts.
  • Oversee social media management by creating engaging content, monitoring engagement metrics, and responding to audience interactions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to ensure messaging aligns across all platforms and campaigns.

Experience

  • Proven experience in journalism, public relations, marketing, or related fields with a strong portfolio of writing samples.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive messages tailored to different audiences.
  • Proficiency in AP style for professional writing and editing.
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, press release development, and social media management.
  • Strong research skills to gather relevant information quickly and accurately.
  • Experience in public speaking or delivering presentations confidently in front of diverse groups.
