AS Beauty is seeking an energetic and detail-driven TikTok Shop Livestream Moderator to support the real-time execution of Laura Geller Tiktok Shop live streaming. This person serves as the backbone of every livestream, managing the comment section, engaging the audience, surfacing pinned products, coordinating flash sales, and ensuring a seamless and high-energy viewer experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, live environments, has a pulse on TikTok culture, and understands how to convert viewers into buyers through authentic, real-time community engagement.

This is a contract role, requiring 8-12 hours per week in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Live Session Moderation: Monitor and manage the live comment section in real time, responding to questions, filtering spam, enforcing community guidelines, and keeping the energy positive and on-brand.
  • Audience Engagement: Actively engage viewers during livestreams by welcoming new joiners, highlighting top comments, encouraging shares, and driving participation in polls, giveaways, and flash sale countdowns.
  • Product & Sales Coordination: Pin featured products at the right moment during flash sales, coordinate with the on-camera host to ensure seamless product transitions, and flag high-intent buyer questions for immediate response.
  • Real-Time Communication: Serve as the communication bridge between the host and the backend team, relaying audience sentiment, flagging technical issues, and prompting hosts with viewer questions or cues via chat or earpiece coordination.
  • Community Management: Build and nurture a loyal viewer community by recognizing returning customers, managing giveaway entries, and maintaining a welcoming, inclusive live environment.
  • Performance Tracking: Log key metrics during and after each session — including peak viewership, engagement spikes, top-performing products, and notable audience feedback — to inform future livestream strategy.
  • Pre-Live Preparation: Review run-of-show documents, familiarize yourself with featured products and talking points, and ensure all moderation tools and TikTok Shop backend systems are set up prior to going live.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2+ years of experience in social media community management, livestream moderation, or e-commerce customer engagement
  • Hands-on familiarity with TikTok Live and/or TikTok Shop; experience with other livestream platforms (Instagram Live, Amazon Live, YouTube Live) is a plus
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to type quickly, accurately, and on-brand in a live setting
  • Deep understanding of TikTok culture, trends, and audience behavior
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed under the pressure of a live broadcast environment
  • Knowledge of beauty, skincare, or consumer product categories is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate live broadcast schedules
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and TikTok Shop Seller Center
  • Bonus: experience in retail promotions, influencer marketing, or social commerce strategy
