Basic Function:

The Account Executive will support and execute day-to-day communications efforts on behalf of Studio Beauty’s Wellness Division, working across consumer wellness, fitness, beauty & lifestyle brands. This is a client-facing role for someone with hands-on experience in consumer and wellness PR who can pitch strategically and secure earned coverage across print, digital media, podcasts, broadcast, and emerging/new media. In addition, this role supports ongoing client communications, brand partnerships, influencer workstreams, and event ideation and execution, while overseeing and managing the team’s designated intern, including day-to-day guidance and support.

Essential duties:

  • Strategic planning and execution of assignments for achieving client goals across consumer wellness, fitness, beauty & lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrate existing contacts and relationships with editorial press in the health, wellness and consumer lifestyle sectors (additional vertical experience a plus)
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with media contacts, clients and partners
  • Pitch story ideas and draft press materials to secure business features, brand news, trend stories, profiles, and product placements
  • Orchestrate integrated PR tactics in alignment with client objectives, company timelines, and industry calendars, including 1:1 press meetings, mailers, events, press releases, pitches, awards submissions, affiliate partnerships, and influencer relations
  • Support brand partnerships and influencer workstreams, including outreach, coordination, and execution in collaboration with internal teams
  • Provide managerial support and delegation to assigned intern: Implementing and evolving processes and new procedures, Product sendouts and mailers, Inventories and Press clippings and media monitoring
  • Maintaining daily communication with clients and media contacts
  • Managing client events (planning and execution)
  • Compiling weekly / monthly status reports and submitting to clients
  • Creating strategic and focused target media lists and maintaining master media list

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiast for all things health and wellness related; have a pulse on the cultural landscape
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in in consumer and/or wellness-focused communications (agency experience preferred)
  • Passionate, engaged, self-motivated, strategic thinker with a proven ability to work well under pressure and autonomously in health/wellness communications
  • Action-oriented, resourceful, and creative thinker who has a strong eye for detail
  • Has excellent writing skills and professional communication etiquette
  • Has exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple personalities is a must
  • Ability to manage several clients and meet their needs
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google applications
  • Familiarity with Muckrack and Creator IQ is preferred
