Social Media Manager - Marketing Agency
Full-time
Milwaukee, WI, USA (Remote)
About the job
Margle Media sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and bold execution. We’re a fast-moving, culture-obsessed digital agency helping brands grow through smart strategy, standout content, and performance-driven campaigns, especially on social.
Our team is collaborative, curious, and not afraid to push boundaries. We believe great ideas can come from anywhere and we make space for people to grow, lead, and make an impact. We move fast, support each other, and take pride in the work we put into the world.
The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes organic social, understands what actually performs, and enjoys engaging directly with online communities.
This role manages day-to-day social media execution across multiple client accounts, including organic social and influencer initiatives. You’ll work closely with digital, creative, account, and project teams to build brand voice, grow audiences, execute influencer programs, and drive meaningful community engagement.
What You’ll Do
You’ll own day-to-day organic social execution across multiple client accounts, helping brands grow audiences, drive engagement, and show up meaningfully on social.
You’ll collaborate with our digital, creative, account, and project teams to plan and deliver content that aligns with brand goals. You’ll build and maintain an organic social best practices guide (by platform), updating it as trends, tools, and algorithms evolve. You’ll own content calendars, partner with account teams on client needs and ideas, and work with digital and analytics to review performance and use insights to shape what comes next.
This role is hands-on. You’ll write and publish platform-ready copy, switch smoothly between distinct brand voices, and keep each client’s tone and visual presence consistent. You’ll stay close to culture, spot trends quickly, and produce fast-turn content like Reels, TikToks, memes, and quick edits using native tools and apps such as CapCut. You’ll know how to evaluate trends fast and jump in when it’s right for the brand, or pass when it’s not.
You’ll manage community engagement across channels, responding to comments, DMs, tags, and mentions in a timely, on-brand way. You’ll bring a customer-service mindset, know when to escalate, and use good judgment in online conflict resolution. You’ll also help define community management guidelines and escalation paths so engagement stays consistent, on-brand, and well supported across accounts.
Influencer and creator work is a meaningful piece of the role. You’ll help lead day-to-day execution of influencer programs including outreach, coordination, and content review, partnering with creators and internal teams to ensure content aligns with brand standards and platform best practices. Familiarity with tools like Upfluence is a plus, not required.
You’ll also track performance by monitoring metrics, pulling insights, and supporting optimization. Along the way, you’ll collaborate across teams by sharing ideas, giving constructive creative feedback, and supporting client-facing needs like planning sessions, updates, and real-time engagement strategies.
What We’re Looking For
You’re deeply familiar with organic social media and how different platforms work. You’re creative, organized, and confident managing multiple accounts in a fast-paced agency environment. You know how to engage audiences thoughtfully, handle community conversations with care, and adapt your voice by brand and platform.
We’re ideally looking for someone with 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts in an agency or in-house environment, hands-on experience across major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest), and strong writing skills. You’re organized, comfortable juggling multiple timelines, and you work well independently while collaborating closely with a team.
Experience with social media management tools such as HootSuite or Sprout is helpful. Exposure to influencer platforms is a plus. You should also be comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, and web-based project management tools.
Why Margle
We’re a creative digital agency that values curiosity, collaboration, and people who care about the details. You’ll have creative freedom, trust, and the opportunity to shape how brands show up on social. This role is central to our digital team and offers room to grow as the agency grows.
